The Egusi had a weird aroma and smelled like straight but or as I would put it poop. The Fufu tastes like unseasoned mashed potatoes, but I think thats normal? Person on the phone seemed very confused on what my mother was asking about, like he couldn't comprehend what she was saying.

I advise everyone to find somewhere to eat because they don’t give you exactly what you ordered. I was scammed by these people after I spent a lot of money , they gave me something different. THEIR POTIONS OF FOOD NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED TO MATCH THE PRICE !!! Someone please! People are paying too much JUST TO GET ROBBED. Previous day i had ordered a fish which I couldn’t even finish eating because it was not cooked all the way but i ignored and decided to go another day and there was missing things in my dish compared to what was on the picture.this time i had to go back and tell them to fix it and they did Any Food officials we need help with this place , i was disappointed twice in a role

I had never been here before and today was my first time. I had Egusi with chicken,, fufu and plantain. By the time I get to Breaking the chicken drumstick apart it smelt like bad meat. It was a foul odorliterally like poop my son who I was sharing it with spit it out and this was not even halfway eaten. I spent $28. I made a video but it only accept pictures. I would never go here again. I was told to wait until I got five minutes away to place the order I got there and still had to wait and the smell was so foul that I had to spray my room

Red snapper was fried a bit hard, but was delicious. Customer service was pretty non existent. The staff didn’t greet me, but weren’t mean either. The food taste was impeccable. The sauce that came on the side of the snapper was SPICY, but phenomenal. The food was packed with flavor, but the service was awkward. If you’re ever in a mood for Nigerian food, give this place a try. The jolloff rice had a big serving size, full of flavor. Overall, decent experience if you order pick up. Thanks Hola!

This was my first visit to Hola Nigerian Kitchen, and my last. This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. We arrived just before the lunch specials ended and ordered three lunch specials that were advertised at $10 each. We specifically ordered the rice with fried chicken. However, when the food arrived, the chicken did not appear fried and looked more like it had been stewed. When we asked about it, we were told that they do not fry chicken. This was confusing because the restaurant has signage advertising fried chicken, and I took photos of it. The portion was also extremely disappointing, with one piece consisting mostly of bone and very little meat. I also ordered fufu with eba and spinach stew. The fufu had a burnt flavor, similar to food scraped from the bottom of a burnt pot. The stew was not what I expected, and the meat served with it was not something I enjoyed. Some of the items on my plate were unfamiliar to me, and I could not identify what cut of meat or part of the animal they came from. The appearance alone was enough to make me lose my appetite, and I chose not to eat it. Cleanliness was a major concern throughout our visit. The drinking glasses arrived dirty, with visible fingerprints and debris on them. I had to send my glass back. My daughter refused to drink from her cup because of how unclean it appeared. The silverware was also grimy and did not look properly cleaned. When I asked where the restroom was so I could wash my hands, I was directed to a sink in the dining area. When I later used the restroom, I found it to be poorly maintained. There were cobwebs, dust, debris, and bottle caps on the floor. On my way to the restroom, I also observed uncovered pots in an area visible from the hallway. Seeing food left uncovered added to my concerns about cleanliness and food handling practices. The atmosphere was equally unpleasant. Music was playing from one television while a movie was playing on another television nearby. The competing sounds made the dining room loud, distracting, and unwelcoming. Another surprise came when the bill arrived. We had ordered three lunch specials advertised at $10 each, yet the total came to $52. At that point, I asked to speak with the owner and explained that I had never left a restaurant feeling this disappointed and still hungry. To her credit, she chose not to charge us for the food, which I appreciated. However, the experience itself was still extremely disappointing and worth sharing. By the end of the visit, I was still hungry because I was uncomfortable eating much of what was served. Between the disappointing food, questionable cleanliness, dirty dishes and utensils, confusing pricing, and uncomfortable atmosphere, this experience fell far below my expectations. I took photos documenting the food, restaurant signage, dirty glasses, silverware, restroom conditions, and other concerns I observed during my visit. Based on my experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant.
