  Been here many times over the years. The food and preparation was excellent every time. But, this time it was different. Not sure if the chef is different in the past 8 months. Ordered Fish and Chips. Fish was ok. One piece of fish was half cooked. We had Ordered extra hush puppies. Half the hushpuppies were uncooked and the batter was bald. Note: this has not happened before.

  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY. THIS PLACE MADE SURE I HAD THE WORST MOTHERS DAY EVER. THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. GOT SPINACH DIP SERVED WITH COLD CALIMARI!!!!! NICK OUR SERVER GAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE TO GO WITH MY HORRIBLE MEAL. MY SON SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER AND SHE WAS JUST AS HORRIBLE AS NICK AND THE FOOD. NEVER GO THERE!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!! MONEY WASTED!!!!!!!!!

  This is one of my favorite Mitchell’s locations! It’s always good vibes, great food, and friendly servers. Tyrone took great care of me when I stopped in for a lunch. I wanted a nice quiet booth to read my book, enjoy some good food, and his service, friendly smile, and dedication was the icing on the cake!

  We were a group of 6. It was my brothers birthday. We went for Happy Hour, were seated in the bar. It started out ok, and the first 2 appetizers were good, and came out fairly quickly. After that, once everyone in our party showed up things went downhill. I understand kitchens can get busy, but having a wrong drink brought out, and the rest of the appetizers and entrees taking over an hour and being cold (soups), undercooked (scallops)....is just not acceptable. They knew we had tickets to a show at Meadowbrook Theatre. And still we waited over an hour for food. We kept asking (when we could find our waitress), but kept getting a run around. The manager came over, apologized, but didn't offer any solution. She did take off $12 for the 3 undercooked scallops. Only the scallops portion of the meal. ... . We couldn't finish eating, the bill took forever to come, and we barely made it to the show. A thoroughly disappointing experience. The food was not good, the staff even worse. And they didn't seem to care.

  We stopped in for an early dinner and were seated right away. Our waiter was spot on and got our orders quickly and was always right there with refills and checking if we needed anything. The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly and was really fresh, the breading was very like and crispy. It was the first that we’ve had in the last several times of eating out that was not like rubber or all breading. The trio of dipping sauces were a great change from banana peppers and lemon caper sauce that usually served other places. The fish tacos and fries were very good and spiced just right. The fish was very fresh and had great texture. The Shrimp Scampi Pasta was also great. The pasta and sauce were amazingly tasty and the shrimp fresh and cooked just right. Mitchell’s is the best restaurant we have been too lately when other places are letting themselves go, Mitchell’s has stepped up and done everything right. We will definitely be back need week when we are in Rochester again. Highly recommended
