  First time visitor . After the recommendation of the cashier, I had the whitefish. Having grown-up in New England, I’ve had my fair share of fish and chips over the years. Put simply this was easily among the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. The white fish was incredibly fresh flavorful, the batter was light and not oily. Impressive as heck. Came around 7 PM And they were pretty busy. Only downside had to wait 30 minutes for my order, but always forgiven once you tasted it. Also, the cashier and the African-American lady who was actually running the food from the kitchen to the tables were among the sweetest people I met. Both were awesome. Just wish you guys had places in Pennsylvania and I’d be a regular.

  While walking around this little community with an aching feeling in my gut, I was seeking food. I spotted an almost dead-end alley with this hole-in-wall fish restaurant making up the vibe. Their art and decor was cool, simple and fun. We waited about 20 minutes, but the food was good.

  This place was absolutely fantastic! It was a bit of line and a little wait, but aren’t the best things worth waiting for? The food was out of this world and we couldn’t stop talking about it! The atmosphere is super cozy and the staff are really patient and sweet! Had a great conversation with the owner who told us some of the history of the items hanging up. Just a great experience all around and we will definitely be back!

  Wouldn’t recommend. Only place that enforces a 12 and under kids meal policy. If ur teen kid is over 12, they will throw a fit and not sell them a kids meal. Even McDonald’s doesn’t do that. I get maybe that’s their policy but what.😶😶 I heard from other reviews this establishment is bitchy abt ppl waiting at tables before they order. If ur a family, someone in ur family can’t hold a table for you while you order. Like cmon, that’s just a pathetic way to run an establishment.. 😶😶 hopefully some changes can be made to this place idk probably not though as these seem to be ongoing issues for years

  I recently visited this place while on vacation . I planned my trip to Mackinac city and island three weeks beforehand by watching YouTube videos. I watched one about this place and was excited to try it . When we arrived at our hotel it was a long drive and we decided to order takeout . I called scalawags and a man told me that he was busy and to order online . I am 73 years old and I had questions , I called later because I had my heart set on fish and chips . A girl answers and was very nice , took my order and it was delivered. I was so disappointed, the fish was over cooked and I felt really let down . 😢
