  I went here on a date with my wife. The food itself was good but I wouldn’t say it was extraordinary given the price. The service was very basic, they brought my wife the wrong dish initially. The atmosphere was nice but not outstanding. If you want a solid upscale fish place this is probably the best option in the city but you’re not missing much if you skip it.

  took mama rose 🌹 and my sister to dinner for mother's day .., and couldn't have had a more enjoyable time and with the heightened atmosphere due to mother's day had staff and service at a impeccable level !!! shout to management...

  I've been to this place twice. First time I ranked it a 2-3 star rating overall. The 2nd and final time made me write this review. TLDR: Food is similar to freezer meals and service was subpar. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and went out of my way to make this review. Actively avoid this restaurant Food - Flat out horrible. I ordered the broiled Walleye with a side of vegetables and mash potatoes. When the food came, the fish was bland and the skin was mushy. I am confused at how the skin was mushy if the Walleye was broiled. The vegetables look like they came out of a freezer bag. They were discolored and bland. The mash potatoes had a gummy texture and was unappetizing. The whole meal felt like it was ordered from Sysco, reheated, and thrown onto a plate. For $30, I expect at least better sides. Service - The main reason we came to Mitchell's was for the service where you can add a custom note at the top of the menu. I made a reservation in advanced and made a note for a special custom message to be displayed. When I arrived, I informed them of our reservation and they provided us with a general menu. I had to go back up to the front and ask if they had the custom menu (which ruined the surprise). They had the menu but not enough for the entire table. Our overall dining experience, was unsatisfactory. We had bread plates and appetizer dishes piled up on our table that was not cleared until the end. The waiter forgot our drink order and we were overall unhappy with our experience.

  Came here to celebrate the passing of both my mom's due to their love of bloody Mary's and oysters. The staff were amazing if I remembered their names I would drop them in this review. I was there 6:30 to 7:20 everyone working at the bar treated me so kindly with the utmost respect. They made what would be my hardest day of the year tolerable. Not to mention you guys have the best bloody Mary's and oysters. Thank you for the love and kindness shown to me today. Ive been going to Mitchell's for the last 6 years and its always a positive experience.

  Unfortunately our service and food has been inconsistent each time we've been here. For the price of the meal I expect my server to offer me the complementary bread, to be familiar with the menu, and to be attentive. Our calamari was awful, we didn't even eat it, and she didn't acknowledge it, but certainly charged for it. The service was slow, and our food was just ok this last time. I don't think we will return, it's too expensive for just ok everything .
