I wanted to avoid writing a negative review and opted to send a comment through the website but with over one week and no reply, I’m sharing my experience here.
After careful review of multiple options for Mother’s Day brunch, I made a reservation for 1:15 p.m. for a party of six last Sunday.
I was one of two moms in the party and 4 out of our party of 6 were senior citizens. I’m a major lunch fan so I called to ensure we’d be able to get brunch despite our 1:15 p.m. reservation.
Not only was I told that brunch is an every Sunday occasion there, but that I’d have nothing to fret about as they’d be serving it until 3 p.m.
We drove in two separate vehicles the 45+ minutes only to be greeted by hastily handwritten notes on torn off paper stuck to the doors reading “out of brunch.”
Well, being Mother’s Day and taking extra care to make sure we had a great dining experience, that was a huge disappointment. And on a major holiday, we obviously didn’t have any other options.
After we announced our arrival for our reservation, we waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. Not a huge deal, but we had a reservation, four senior citizens, and no seats or benches for them to wait at.
The service was slow and broken with waits for silverware, and a passing acknowledgement of no brunch. Having had crispy potatoes there on prior lunch visit that were good, I asked if we could at least get those as an appetizer to share. Our server had to go back to the kitchen to ask if there were any more and then returned to say they were all out.
No real acknowledgement, no alternative or complimentary anything to make the experience better. Overall, our dining experience took more than an hour and the only reason for 2 vs. 1 star is that everyone else seemed to enjoy their menu selections. But to go specifically for brunch on a special occasion after calling to verify they would be serving only to have them run out was a huge disappointment. The lack of acknowledgement or reply to the comment I sent through the website is seals the poor experience.

We walked in on a Monday evening. The place was absolutely not busy. We stood at the front for a good 10 minutes and were completely ignored. No hostess ever showed up to seat us. Multiple servers saw us standing up there, but alerted nobody to our presence. Finally we just walked out to the restaurant across the street. Service here is apparently awful. 0/5 stars.

The table was very dirty and when we asked for them to clean it we were met with attitude. The plates and silverware had old food still stuck to them. The restaurant itself smells like old oil. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it tasted and smelled of blood and I only took one bite and couldn’t eat more. I entered hungry and left feeling sick.

I come here about once a year, and unfortunately it seems to get worse every time. It wasn’t busy at all, and we were seated immediately, but the experience went downhill from there.
First, the booths were incredibly uncomfortable. Then it took over 10 minutes for our waiter to even greet us, and another 10 minutes before he returned with only half the drinks and no bread. We were told the bread was “in the oven.” Eventually, we got lukewarm bread and were finally able to place our order.
At that point, I asked for a water refill and more bread. Apparently that was “in the oven” again too, because 45 minutes into the visit we still had no refills, no additional bread, no food, and no sign of our waiter.
I eventually tracked down the manager myself. To her credit, she did get us refills and more bread, and offered an appetizer for the trouble, but honestly we just wanted the food we had already been waiting forever for.
When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The Dia volo chicken was mediocre at best, the chicken itself was chewy and had an odd texture, almost like it had been frozen and reheated.
They later offered dessert because of the long wait. We accepted it, even though by then none of us were hungry anymore, mostly just frustrated and bored.
Overall, there’s really no reason for us to come back again.

The service was wonderful! Heather was our waitress. She was very attentive and pleasant! We actually had an issue with one of the dishes we ordered, the chicken seemed very rubbery. Almost as if it had been freezer burned prior to being cooked. We were able to get the dish swapped for something else that we ended up really enjoying. Entrees came out quickly. Refills were quick. Overall pleased with this experience.
