Terrible, the food is not good, and is not a true italian recipes, garlic bread is a joke. It is sandwich bread toasted to literally burnt cut up in pieces, doesn't taste like garlic. True Italian restaurants and good restaurants have rolls on the table certainly not for a charge. My bills was over a hundred dollars and it was NOT good. The frozen lasagna from Walmart tastes better. I am italian and I was quite disappointed to see a restaurant try to pass off their food as Italian. And by the looks of how the owner responds to reviews he doesn't seem to care if he keeps customers or not. The only good thing was our service, the waitress was wonderful.
We love coming to Vivio’s! It’s been one of our favorite go-to spots for years, especially when hosting friends and family. The food always arrives piping hot and delicious you absolutely have to try the feta bread, it’s amazing! While there’s usually a wait for a table, the time moves quickly thanks to the great setup. They have a lovely patio to relax on while you wait, plus a playground that keeps the kids entertained. The service is consistently friendly, and it’s the perfect spot to grab dinner after a day out on the water. Highly recommended!

Food was not good. Steak looks like genuine ground beef. Was gray with a bit of pink, slimy and kinda just crumbled to the touch of it. Very squishy. The salads were warm and the lettus did not look properly prepared. The service was also questionable. Server handed us straws that were already unpackaged and just tossed them on the table. Not very kind to customers. Incredibly pricy for what we got.

I don’t know where any hype for this place came from but do NOT listen to it. The food is terrible and I have no genuine idea how people can say it’s even decent. I ordered the Garlic Toast and I kid you not it was a piece of Dollar Tree store quality bread that was burnt in a toaster and God knows what flavorless seasoning was on it but I assure it you was not garlic. The spaghetti and Oil and Garlic was a genuine puddle of oil with, yet again, no garlic. And I don’t know how anyone can say the pizza was acceptable; it couldn’t dare to compare to some place like Little Caesars. If that’s not enough I don’t think you want to imagine what will go on down below after eating here. $79 should’ve covered the toilet paper I needed after. Stay. Away.

I've eaten pizza all over the country, and every once in a while you come across a place that completely exceeds your expectations. That's exactly what happened with the Vivio Special at Vivio's in Indian River, Michigan.
I know Dave Portnoy judges a pizza by the cheese slice, and I actually agree with that. It's the best way to judge the fundamentals of a pizza. But if you ever find yourself at Vivio's, you're missing out if you don't order the Vivio Special.
This pizza is loaded with mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon, fresh mushrooms, green peppers, and onions (I skip the optional anchovies). On paper, it sounds like a classic supreme. In reality, it's one of the best specialty pizzas I've ever had.
The crust is what really sets it apart. It's perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft and chewy on the inside. The sauce has incredible flavor without being overly sweet or acidic, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio is spot on. Every topping tastes fresh, and nothing overpowers anything else. Every bite has the perfect combination of crust, cheese, sauce, meat, and vegetables. It's one of those pizzas where you immediately know the people making it genuinely care about the product they're putting out.
I've had pizza all over the country, and the Vivio Special deserves to be mentioned with some of the best specialty pizzas I've eaten. My score is an 8.6 out of 10. That's an outstanding score, especially for a loaded specialty pizza, and one I'd happily order again and again.
Dave Portnoy, here's my challenge to you. I know your system is based on cheese pizza, and I respect that. But if you're ever traveling through Northern Michigan, stop into Vivio's. Order the cheese to keep it official, then order the Vivio Special. I think this little hidden gem might surprise you.
Northern Michigan has a lot to offer, and this pizza is one of its best-kept secrets.
One bite... everybody knows the rules. 🍕
