Overall not terrible but nothing special.
The food was average and extremely overpriced for what it was. I paid over $20 for a fish sandwich with barely any fish, and $10 for a kids meal that I can only believe was boxed kraft mac n cheese. Excluding our drinks, we paid almost $80 for a mediocre fish sandwich, tacos, and microwave mac n cheese.
Despite the whole restaurant being virtually empty, we only saw our server one time after he took our orders.
We ordered an appetizer that never came. When our meals got to the table, we asked about the appetizer and were just told that “they missed that.”
The views seemed nice but the patio was filled so we could not sit out there, which would have made it a little more enjoyable.
I’d have to say I was disappointed and would probably not be back if I find myself in the area again.

We had a really great time. A group of 8, and lots of sharing tastes. Everything was great. Prices are a little high, but appropriate for this type of seasonal town and location. A really nice view from the balcony of the river, and great drinks with plenty of booze. The interior was slightly crowded and sterile, but that's almost a nitpick, because it wasn't terrible. I'll absolutely be back.
8/9 Amazing meal, after 3 days of traveling and eating at multiple location this was the first memorable meal. Highly suggest the salmon and strip steak. Sooo good. Crystal was an amazing waitress who kept us laughing and made sure everything was perfect. Thank you for the meal. Also don't miss out on that keylime pie... I could come back for that alone.
8/10 Couldn't resist and came back. The ribeye was amazing. Tons of flavor and an amazing demiglaze 10 out of 10 medium rare and perfect. The salad nicoise was a unique combination for a salad that just works. Uou qont be disappointed. Braxton was a great waiter who took great care of us with amazing suggestions.

Used to come here several times over the 15 years we have spent our summers in the Petoskey area. Had not been here for a few years. My daughter is visiting from out of state and wanted to treat her to a unique atmosphere for dining at lunch. The redone facility is very nice but totally lost the intimate cozy aura of sitting along the river dining and waving and communicating with the passing and docking boaters. Now you sit 10 feet or so above the river pretty much removed from the river traffic and boaters. Totally different atmosphere than before. We ordered the perch dinner and when it was served, the perch were tiny, about the size of my thumb, and when biting into it, it was mostly over fried breading with a very small overcooked piece of fish inside. It was a total disappointment as we have had great perch meals all around northern Michigan and never had something as bad as this. The French Fries were excellent as was the Cole Slaw. When the waiter came over to ask how it was, I stated clearly it was the worst perch I had ever had and described it to him as I stated above. He apologized but nothing more was done. He brought the check and I was a bit taken back that the perch lunch cost $30.00. Way over priced especially since it was such a small, almost inedible portion. There was no, “I’m sorry sir and we’ll be glad to reduce your bill by $$$, or anything else to accommodate us. That said, I will probably never go back there and if anyone reading goes there, do not order the perch. I don’t know what or how the other dishes are but if the perch and ignoring the concerns of unsatisfied patrons is the norm, I would put this on my “definitely do not go to” list.
Four of us were seated at 6:30 pm on a Monday. It appeared there was a late big push to eat around then as there only a few tables left. We were greeted by a pleasant young lady who sat us.
Shortly later our waitress, Jennifer, greeted us. She was very pleasant and you could tell she wanted to convey she was there to make sure our evening went well.
From my vantage point, every server was working hard to meet the needs of their customers. Every one of them was smiling and attentive.
Appetizers were varied but we wanted “real” calamari and that was exactly what was delivered to our table to share. There was enough for the 4 of us. This was the best that any of us have ever had!! Tender, not form fitted; the aioli sauce was smooth and allowed the true flavor of calamari to come through.
We also shared a vanilla lavender margarita. 4 straws and a beautifully displayed specialty drink. So smooth going down. Very good.
Main course: 3 of our party ordered the fresh perch basket; they were served in wrapped cute tins (not flimsy baskets) and according to the ladies it was the best they have had. Lightly coated so you could actually taste the fish.
I ordered the ribeye steak, medium rare. It was served over roasted fingerling potatoes and broccolini. I declined the Zip Sauce as I like steak w/o anything extra on it.
This was a huge steak which I shared bites with my friends. I however ate as much as I could. Very flavorful!!
The timing of the delivery of our meals was perfect and given the restaurant was very very busy, I was amazed that the flow of our food was so smooth. Well done.
Considering we were all very full, we had to order one Key Lime pie dessert for us to share. Outstanding and smooth; no overpowering lime flavor.
This evening of dining was perfect. I can’t remember a time when everyone in our party enjoyed a total meal experience. Inn Between: we will be back.
Thank you for the bringing a total meal experience, exquisitely prepared, back to the forefront.
