I like this spot. This was our first time trying this spot and I must say that it was a hit. From the front entrance it wasn't that impressive. It looks a bit laking the vibe of where you want to enjoy dining. But looks can be deceiving
The inside of this joint looks much different than the outside. The atmosphere is relaxing and calming. The staff is welcoming and very professional. The food is good and you get a lot for the money.

Some of the best fries around. It's a beef dog joint, and I can't digest beef. So I can't try the hot dogs. Which they at least had the choice of a great pork or Pork/chicken blended dog. Others say the beep dogs are great.
And I see them enjoying the pizza.

Went in on a Sunday, bad move on my part to go during the game, place was packed. Took quite a while for my to go order to by ready but with as busy as they were expected that. Unfortunately there was some food missing from my order when I got home but I reached out to them and they were very apologetic and refunded me right away. I only tell that story because I believe everyone makes mistakes and you should highlight when a business handles their mistakes appropriately because a lot don’t, but this place absolutely did. The food we did receive was fantastic, the fries were hot and seasoned well, the cake was great the pizza puffs were fantastic, The chicken Sandwhich was good. I’ll have no qualms about going back and trying more of the menu

Note that this review is not based on the food or atmosphere, I have dined there before and it’s been fine! The place markets itself as a sports bar type - Chicago team logos/memorabilia all over the place, several very large tvs. I went in there hoping to dine, drink and watch Chicago baseball. Upon entering (crowd was light, two patrons at the bar, only one table occupied), I asked if they were able to put the game on; the bartender seemed a bit surly/inconvenienced at this request, but changed the channel. It quickly became apparent that a subscription was necessary in order to watch the game, so it was “sorry, we don’t get it”, and channel flipped back to ESPN. And I hear the bartender mutter, I checked and it would be $20/mo. to subscribe, which in my mind I’m thinking, you can’t be serious.. I had a group of guys coming out, the amount we’d have spent on drinks alone would have covered a years’ worth of that subscription. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings and spent our money there instead.
Moral of the story is, if you’re anticipating being able to watch Chicago sports, don’t count on the Chicago Beef Joint.

Very good service! Excellent food! I had the Italian beef with mild peppers and fries. Very messy so if you’re prone to spilling on yourself wear a shirt you do not care about! We came right after a bears game, and there were ALOT of people here. If you are a bears fan I would highly recommend watching the game here as everyone was in bears jerseys. I will be back. :)
