    Solid taco joint in downtown Grand Rapids that is located just a partial block north of Van Andel Arena (on one-way Ottawa Ave). They have a fun and open atmosphere with indoor & outdoor seating available. Be prepared to write your own order on the preprinted menu sheets. Party started with the enchilada queso which was delicious (chips are fresh and crispy). Then we tried one “build your own” taco with the jalapeno shrimp on a green goddess taco and Chipotle crema (it was awesome) and we also tried the El Jefe Loco, the Codfather, and the smashburger. If you like blackened fish- get the Codfather (that was a favorite). And the smashburger is in a league of its own (so tasty). They sell Pepsi products and Jarritos. David was our server and he was friendly and knowledgeable (and made great recommendations). Worth a stop if you want to try some unique and flavorful taco inspired food.

    My wife and I went here during the dinner rush on a Friday night. We were sat by the host almost immediately which was great. We filled out the taco order sheet and waited. Waited. Looked around, and waited. More than 15 minutes without a water, a server, or anyone saying they’ll be right with us. Another couple got sat at a table next to us and was served within a few minutes by (who we are assuming) our server. When we got up to leave, the host walked by and we asked who our server was supposed to be. She said “did nobody come over here?” We said no and then she walked away in a hurry without saying anything else.

    We came on a whim for dinner. We were sat by a very friendly hostess. After a half hour of waiting, we tracked down the same hostess to inquire if waitstaff would be coming to our table. We ordered food and drinks, waited another half hour and the food came out just as we were preparing to leave; but still no drinks. The food came out refrigerator cold. The drinks came out 5 minutes later. I will say, the Old Fashoned was really good.

    Can’t judge the food because after an hour and a half, still haven’t eaten anything. Had to leave with no dinner.

    Great environment and sat outside. 2nd time coming this month and both male servers were amazing! Food was delicious, like so delicious I couldn’t stop thinking about coming back for two weeks straight so found time to despite inconvenience of coming to downtown. Their food is superb and will be back! You should go too!
