- MBMelissa Blair5 days ago3.0Let me start with the positives: -Friendly staff -Warm atmosphere -Excellent drinks Areas that need work: -Temperature of plated food (salmon meal was served hot while sausage meal was lukewarm warm at best). -Honey BBQ Salmon was served hot with delicious mashed potatoes and a corn/jalapeno side; however the honey bbq piece consisted of a copious amount of bbq (similar to Sweet Baby Ray's) poured over the top of a perfectly good piece of salmon. -My $12 pumpkin cheese cake that I ordered to go was a small blob of cheesecake that looks like someone heaped graham cracker crumbs on top. -Waitress did her absolute best, but it was evident she was stretched thin. All in all, this was a subpar dining experience. With excellent reviews, our expectations were higher. While I'm hoping this was just a one off experience, I'm hesitant to return.

We ordered filet sliders for my wife.She has excellent teeth but could not eat her sliders as they were very tough.She ended up removing the meat and cut them into very small pieces. I ordered the German sausage plate and I was not happy with the lack of flavor in the brat and sausages,also the German potato salad was very bland. This was really the first time we have had a bad meal at Benethums.

Also had ribeye steak for dinner was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Wife had chicken tosca which was really unique and delicious with a creamy lemon and capers sauce. They cook with passion here and it shows. Great job.
- SBS BSep 17, 20263.0We made reservations and were seated on arrival. The hostess and server were friendly and knowledgeable. Our starters were freshly prepared and served quickly. The restaurant was busy. My wife had French onion soup. The broth was a bit on the weak side and there were almost no caramelized onions in the soup. I had a garden salad and the greens were crisp and fresh. The Italian dressing was very good. The starters and the service are the highlights of the experience. Our entrees consisted of a steak frites with fries and a ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and undercooked garlic green beans. The flat iron steak used in the steak frites was tough and overcooked. The Béarnaise sauce was more a paste than a sauce. The best part of this dinner plate were the French fries. My ribeye was paper thin and also very tough. The meal was underwhelming. We had hoped to find a new place but it will not be Bennethum’s.
