  I went here with a group of 6 for a mid-morning Sunday brunch, and it was FABULOUS! The decor was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! Prices were very reasonable. I had the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, sausage, house potatoes, and big slices of brioche toast - very tasty - 10/10!! I would absolutely eat here again since there were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try! And next time I will have someone else drive so I can try their breakfast cocktails!!

  We went in on a sat, immediately after being sat they told us they were out of mimosas. Ok no problem. Ordered a coffee… they were out of that too. Asked for a cocktail menu, they said they can’t find their ONE menu. After the long awkward silence they found one. Ordered two drinks they came out WARM…. Cause the bar was out of ice. Didn’t tell me that before I ordered either…. This already set the tone. By the time the food came , we lost our appetite. Server was nice and obviously a little embarrassed to have to tell me how unprepared they are. Not her fault. But management should be ashamed. They need a team building class in dining etiquette and professionalism, especially since they are in the heart of Detroit and asking gratuity on every bill. I like to support black owned businesses but this one couldn’t deliver. Terrible atmosphere and extremely unorganized but Food was alright.

  The food was okay at most I asked for cheese grits there was definitely just salt and pepper in them but they were certain it was cheese. I asked for American cheese on my eggs and it was cheddar. I asked for a chocolate Martini and it was disgusting it left an after taste in my mouth that almost made me vomit. The atmosphere is beautiful!!! But that is about it.

  I took my 3-year-old daughter to Sugah for breakfast around 9:30 AM. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, but there was no one at the front to greet us. While we waited, an Uber Eats driver came in and was assisted ahead of us, and the server still did not acknowledge us. What was especially disappointing was that after we were seated, several white guests came in and were greeted much more warmly and immediately. I cannot speak to anyone’s intentions, but the difference in treatment was noticeable and uncomfortable. The food was great, but the service could have been much better. I was there with a hungry 3-year-old, and even a simple “Good morning, we’ll be right with you” would have made a difference. As a healthcare worker, I interact with people every day and understand that everyone can have an off moment, so I try to give people grace. A 20% gratuity was already added to our bill, and I still left an additional $5 tip. I hope management reinforces with staff that every guest should be acknowledged, welcomed, and treated with the same level of kindness. Unfortunately, despite enjoying the food, we are unlikely to return.

  Came here on a Wednesday and let me start by saying it wasn’t crowded, which was a plus. The vibes was vibing! Precious is the most LIT waitress I’ve ever had in Michigan. She reminded me of the waitress I’m used to in Atlanta. Her vibes was 1000/10. The food was good. But the drinks stole the show! Would I go back? Of course!
