I was unimpressed with the taste of the food. It was very bland and lacked flavor. The drinks that were bar choice was pretty good. The serving size was very small for $28 for French toast and wings. For over $100 for basically 2 piece of French toast( 1 slice for each of us) , 6 wings, flavorless beignets, and 2 drink served in plastic 4.5 oz cups. I wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely terrible experience with this restaurant. Three of us drive all the way from Cleveland excited to try this place. When we walked in the host had her back to her and took several minutes to greet us even though she has seen us. We were then told it was a 35 minute wait. We said that was fine. We came back at 35 minutes and we were given a dirty look. She kept saying a few more minutes and you could barely understand what she was saying. We waited a total of 90 minutes and were never given a table. Do NOT go here. Terrible service and workers. Don’t waste your time. Plenty of other places around.
I want to thank and uplift this establishment. I attended a dinner for my cousins wedding party and it was amazing. The vibe, atmosphere, and settings were wonderful. I want to personally thank you for providing a place in Detroit that is welcoming, warm, and full of beautiful vibes that invite positive energy to the city. I'll certainly be visiting this establishment often since I am a proud resident of Detroit, and not to mention I work in the near by. Again, thank you.
I went here for my birthday last week and the service was horrible. I had a 45 minute wait and the restaurant wasn’t pack at all. When I finally sat down the server took 10 to 15 minutes to introduce herself. I placed my food order along with a coffee. My coffee was cold. I then knew that either it’s been sitting or old. She finally came back to the table and replaced it with a fresh one. She also stated that our food order was lost in the system and we had to re-order. We sat down for over an hour waiting for food. I ordered fish and grits. My fish was hot but my grits were cold. I was very frustrated with everything plus the server never came back to check on us. We didn’t receive a water refill or coffee refill. When it was time to check out I explained my food issue and she said that she would speak to the manager. After several minutes she said ” Hey are you ready to cash out” without acknowledging the issue. I went ahead and paid along with tipping because of my character. I was very excited to visit this place and support but honestly you have to do better.

Sugah… please
Today I had the pleasure of visiting Sugah please and I honestly I wasn’t pleased.
Our visit began with the waitress sharing that there were only 2 front house staff so to please “Bear with them” . This didn’t bother me much because, things happen.
Our starters, We attempted to order the fried green tomatoes but were told they were sold out. 🙃 so we settled for the beignets. The beignets were soft and buttery but ate like a croissant that were lightly dusted with powder sugar.
I ordered the French toast and chicken wings. Never have I have ever been served 1 piece of bread as an order of French toast! The menu says this includes French toast topped with lemon cream cheese icing and berries. I think my cream cheese icing slipped off my plate before it arrived to the table. 🤭 The chicken was smoking hot out the grease when brought to the table and had decent flavor.
The other breakfast option we had was the shrimp and grits. The grits didn’t seemed to be cooked all the way through. The seasoning seemed to only be part of the gravy and not throughout the entire dish. There wasn’t any butter in the grits. Presentation was great!
Based on the location of Sugah please, we expected a little more of an experience. I’m hoping this was a one off situation and we visited on the wrong day.
