I wish you guys cared about the quality of your chicken as much as you care about the quality of crab in your rangoons. Your chicken quality has gone down big time. It doesn’t matter what spice level you ask for you guys just give me what you feel like doing that moment. Sandwiches fall part. You guys really lost your touch and in turn lost me as a customer.

Foods great employees suck if you have to have someone on hold for 28 minutes to order some food is insane and I even hung up and called back 20 minutes later to go right back on hold I’m sure the owner wouldn’t be to happy he’s losing sales

This food truck is incredible. We stopped in because we saw the crab Rangoon burrito, but we made the build your own fries at the girls recommendation. These are incredible. My Daughter got the chicken sandwich which is just awesome and we’re looking forward to trying the chicken, Caesar wrap and the frozen lemonade just really pop off and pair well with the dish.

I was really looking forward to having the crab rangoon burrito as I’ve been living in the UK for the past few months and they don’t have any crab rangoon items there. I wish the filling was a little more creamy but for those that enjoy more imitation crab filling, it may be better suited! I did enjoy the crispiness of it and the concept and the flavour was still great. The chopped chicken caesar was quite nice, I’m not sure if I’d get the chips chopped inside the wrap but maybe I’d have it on the side. I do think they could amp the wrap up a level with a light sear on the outside and maybe a parmesan crust (i think this is what makes the wrap at frank’s stand out so much). I also wonder if maybe the caesar dressing could’ve coated the greens a bit more as the first taste that hit me was the rawness of the salad greens. i did appreciate the wonderful breaded chicken and also the level of salt and seasoning was really nice. I placed a pick up order ahead of time as I saw on their socials they were selling out of things the past few nights and my craving for the crab rangoon burrito was too intense to risk not being able to secure it, however i was a bit disappointed when I showed up a few minutes before my pick up time and my food was already a bit cold and soggy. I was expecting that especially with how busy they are and understand they probably need to get things made as the order come but I think that made a big difference in my experience as well and I’d recommend people just come early and order there to ensure maximum freshness. I can’t speak to much about the staff or atmosphere, but there was a really nice ourdoor sitting area that’d be great for the summer, and also a lot of parking as well. I think it’d be a great spot to come with some friends and try their interesting menu!

There’s a clear dividing line in the food truck world between vendors who rely on the convenience of pre-made, heat-and-serve ingredients, and the culinary purists who cook strictly to order. Hot Chicks Food Truck, operating on Kean Street, sits firmly and proudly in the latter camp. From the moment you place your order, it becomes immediately apparent that nothing here is sitting under a heat lamp. Every single dish is crafted right then and there. The difference this makes in texture and flavor profile cannot be overstated—when food is made entirely from scratch with fresh ingredients and served roaring hot straight from the kitchen, it elevates street food into a gourmet experience. While their signature broasted chicken sandwiches and loaded waffle fries have earned them a massive local following, it is their monthly innovation that steals the entire show: The Crab Ragoon Burrito. On paper, fusing a classic Chinese-American appetizer with a street-style deep-fried burrito sounds incredibly ambitious. In execution, it is an absolute masterpiece of textures and balanced flavors. Because it is fried to order, the exterior flour tortilla achieves a perfect, golden-brown blister that shatters delightfully upon the first bite, avoiding any of the grease-logged heaviness that plagues lesser fried burritos. Inside, the filling is a revelation. The cream cheese base is incredibly rich, velvety, and studded with plenty of sweet, tender crab meat. What keeps the richness from overwhelming the palate is the smart inclusion of fresh, sharp green scallions and a brilliant drizzle of sweet chili sauce. The sauce provides just the right amount of vibrant acidity, tang, and mild heat to cut through the decadence of the cream cheese, tying the entire flavor profile together beautifully. The Verdict.. Hot Chicks Food Truck proves that freshness and execution matter just as much as creativity. If you are anywhere near Kean Street, skipping this truck—and specifically the Crab Rangoon Burrito—is a major culinary mistake.
