    Ordered online and picked up 1 minute early. No staff at the counter but the one person who I made eye contact with smiled, so I guess that’s something. I drove all the way to Davison (I live 30 mins away) because this sounded sooo good and the one by my house is terrible. Ordered a Hummus Veggie Wrap and a smoothie. Smoothie was good, the wrap however was disgusting. It had SO much ranch on it, that the paper was soaked through. Oozing out of both sides. Dripping as I picked it up. I tried to squeeze some of it out and blot with napkins but it was no use. Just made a mess of it. One side of the wrap was burnt, too. The toppings themselves were extremely nill. The only variation I made was no picked onions. These are normally thick and full of delicious toppings anf you can see them all. I didn’t even notice rice, barely tasted hummus, the sprinkle of lettuce was mush, I had one tiny tomato slice, and a couple black beans. Very upset because I went out of my way hoping for a better experience, spent hard-earned money and it was a waste.

    I walked in after my 12 hour shift, i was met by an older woman who was not kind during the small interaction we had. she informed me and my partner very rudely that she did not have chocolate (which was okay) and didnt offer any substitutes in exchange (also okay) we ended up leaving because we wanted items with chocolate and so we decided to go somewhere else. The next day comes , we go again, giving the benefit of the doubt , we get it people have bad days. however she was even ruder this time, being extremely nice to other customers and rude to us. The older woman brings us our food, slams it on the table without a “have a good day” or anything (i said thank you of course, which was met with no response ) i asked to speak with a manager and was told it would be a few minutes. We wait and no one comes so we decide to head out, where we were met with a condescending smile as we left. Me and my partner are very easy going and had she said nicely she didnt have chocolate, or even just had normal manners I would not have felt inclined to say something. Her coworker was very respectful and helpful however!! thank you for reading this !

    This place is a hit or miss. You never know if you're going to get a friendly staff member or not. I've been coming to this tropical smoothie since it opened in 2012. Last I knew they honored military discount, fireman, etc. It never fails I have some employee either not know how to apply the discount, or I'll have some say "it's already discounted." No one is ever on the same page. Lisa and Krystina are the only ones who honor it and will apply it. Not my first time coming in from the hours of 7-9 for happy hour and getting a smoothie with my discount. If there's a discount for the select few, it shouldn't be a sometimes.
