- CJCJ JJul 29, 20263.0I had heard the pizza here was very good, so I decided to give it a try. I called to place a takeout order because I had a few questions about their deals and promotions. Unfortunately, the customer service over the phone was disappointing. I was met with one-word questions and answers throughout the conversation. I understand that service workers can be busy, tired, or having a difficult day, but that doesn't mean every customer is going to be difficult. I asked about using a coupon and was told it would be taken care of when I paid. When I arrived to pick up my order, the interaction was much the same: "Name?" "Tip?" "Receipt?" There was no friendly greeting, and I ended up being charged full price without the coupon being applied. The pizza itself was good. It wasn't overloaded with oil, cheese, or Parmesan, and I enjoyed the quality of the food. Unfortunately, good food wasn't enough to make up for the poor customer service. Because of the experience I had both on the phone and in person, I probably won't be returning. It's unfortunate because I try to support local businesses whenever I can. For now, I'll continue going to Papa Romano's in Clarkston, where I'm always greeted with friendly, welcoming service. Great customer service makes all the difference.
