  Absolutely loved this place! You get that genuine small-town feel the second you walk in — friendly atmosphere, great food, and even better service. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a coffee, and everything was absolutely amazing. The biscuits and gravy were exactly what you want from a good hometown breakfast — filling, flavorful, and comforting. The coffee was great too! And I have to give a huge shoutout to our waitress, Lydia. She was fantastic from start to finish — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell she genuinely cares about taking care of her customers, and that kind of service makes a great meal even better. If you’re looking for a place with small-town vibes, great food, and genuinely good people, this is definitely worth stopping at. Lydia deserves a special shoutout for making the experience even better! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  Great place! Lydia was very personable. She heard us discussing the pizza so brought over a slice to try it. Will return here for sure.

  The burger was the best, temperature as requested Only thing better was Lydia. I really would appreciate Heinz Ketchup. It is so much better. Charge more for advertising on your cups to pay for the Heinz. Thank you!

  What a nice place. I took the family out for late breakfast, what a busy place but very efficient. Polite quick service, great team of waitstaff, and the Owner, Randy stopped by our table for a nice conversation and explained some of the cool artwork and murels on the wall. I highly recommend Oskar Scots as your first go to family dining resturant in West Michigan. We will be back for sure. God Bless you all.

  So, we drove a long way for this place, it was a social media find. We were on our way to Michigan's Adventure, this was along the way. With that said, our waitress was very friendly, but she was not very attentive to say the least. We were pretty sure she forgot about us when it came time to order, asked if we were ready right after we sat down...we weren't. Didn't come back for 10 to 15 at least. When we did finally order, we specifically ordered an omelette with no cheese as well as biscuits and gravy without cheese as well, they showed up with cheese, cheap cheese at that. We couldn't have been more polite, we understand that they all have a challenging job so we do everything in our power to make it easy on our end of the transaction. The food wasn't bad, actually pretty good...would have been way better without the awful cheese. Great toast that had to be baked on site. As for the biscuits and gravy, my wife enjoyed the fresh biscuit as well as the gravy to go along with, but the sausage patties tasted like hotel sausage patties. Such a shame too obviously have freshly made food on site than to go ahead and mix it with frozen or canned goods. We were looking forward to this meal based on reviews, I guess that's the way it goes. We received a small discount to make up for cheese that we didn't want, not how I do it but it is what it is. We will try again sometime and update if we have a better experience.
