I went there for dinner with my boyfriend, the food is delicious and our server, Mack, was the best! However there is something with the overall management of the place that is strange. We had to wait half hour for our table even though we had reservations, some drinks took long even though server was prompt is ordering them. I would say it lacks general organization but is definitely worth the experience as, on top of it, the place is gorgeous.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. We arrived expecting to be welcomed and treated with basic respect, but instead, they wouldn’t even let us in and made no real effort to help us or find a solution. What made the situation even worse was the manager’s attitude. He was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. A manager should know how to communicate professionally and try to resolve a situation, but he showed no concern whatsoever and didn’t even attempt to help us. We left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and extremely disappointed. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and based on the way we were treated, I would not recommend this restaurant. Management seriously needs to reconsider how they treat customers.

Honestly the food is great but the customer service makes me want to never come back! We made a mistake with the reservation and spoke to one of the managers “Eddie” and got the Ok to be seated. We ( a group of 5) went up and down twice only to be told by the host and the other managers that they would not be able to do anything for us. ON A THURSDAY not a weekend or anything and there were plenty of seats to accommodate us!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience! We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we had such an amazing experience from start to finish! ❤️ The service was super fast, attentive, and on point. Everything came out quickly and perfectly, without feeling rushed. The food was absolutely top-notch—fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Every bite was worth it! The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious, very clean, and extremely well organized. You can tell a lot of thought goes into creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests. Overall, we absolutely loved our date night and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. 🥂❤️ Highly recommend! We will definitely be coming back!

This is a beautiful restaurant and I will return just for the ambiance and in the hopes of nice weather for sitting outside. I do have some qualms. First the name. This is NOT in Detroit, this is in Birmingham. While I understand the desire to avoid confusion (it’s not in the well-known Birmingham, Alabama), I think Metro Detroit would have been more thoughtful. Unless you are in Detroit proper, in my opinion, you shouldn’t say you are in Detroit just because suddenly that is a hip thing to do. Detroit and only Detroit gets the honor of claiming their city name after all they have been through and after grueling years of comeback efforts. Secondly, I dislike fake plants. The fake trees and boxwoods here, while somewhat realistic, are still fake and are no more than dust catchers. While I think the effect is pleasing from a distance and I get the design choice, up close and upon inspection, it is not a good look. We were the second table seated. The third party seated, they seated right next to us. It was so strange that they had the whole restaurant empty and chose to do that. At first I thought it might be due to having the same waiter, but actually our parties had different waiters. It was a strange choice in my opinion. For breakfast, they really have no good choices for someone preferring gluten and dairy free, and that is my experience everywhere, so no complaint there. One of the choices had bacon and pork sausage as the only meat choices; I asked if they had turkey or chicken sausage and they said no. Surprising, as so many folks avoid pork, not to mention the negative impacts of pig farms on local communities. I opted for the scrambled eggs, avocado and toasted French bread (which I couldn’t eat - not sure why they gave it to me when I told them I do not eat gluten). The waiter asked if soft scrambled eggs were okay, I said no, I need them hard scrambled, please. But they arrived runny, mushy, and very much soft scrambled. My daughter ordered the same thing but said okay to soft scrambled - and her eggs were like soup. Just gross. I choked mine down rather than ask for new eggs - I felt like a pain since I had already asked them to turn down the blaring new agey music so I could better hear my daughter talking. I ordered a fruit plate as well as the potatoes. The potatoes were outstanding. The fruit plate had some pineapple with brown spots and some green watermelon, so that was not great, but the rest of the fruit was appropriately ripe and fresh. Service was good but not outstanding. I had requested salt and pepper when I ordered but never got any. My espresso martini was my the best part, besides the ambiance and good company. I guess the experience fell short of expectations and, given the negatives, it was much too expensive. Had everything been up to snuff, I would have had no qualms with it being pricey. I will return for a different meal such as dinner, on a beautiful night, so we can sit outside. Ambiance is unmatched (except by other RH restaurants!).
