I proceeded to tap on the window that he was sitting at with his back towards me. It was obvious that he had not seen me. When I tapped on the window the window rattled with movement and startled us both. Mind you I didn't knock a few time or knock aggressively. I tapped once with little effort. I was as much surprised by the loud rattle as the employee was. He turns around opens the window and immediately addresses me by saying " have some respect " in a very obvious upset tone. I attempted to explain that I was only attempting to get his attention and that the unexpected sound was just as surprising to me. He then cut me off and repeated the phrase " have some respect " very firmly. I don't have any problem with someone expecting their property to be respected, I too am one those people. I was not in any way expressing disrespectful behavior towards him or the Dunkin property. I heard what he had said the first time but he didn't allow me to explain that he had heard the same startling sound that I had. I decided to not engage so I quickly said I'm sorry just forget it and I left. I don't appreciate disrespect either. I do apologize for startling him I do not apologize for tapping once on a window after waiting five minutes. I'll keep my business at the St. Joseph location only now.

We were ordering through the drive-thru and were still deciding between items when the employee entered an order before my husband had even confirmed it. When he politely tried to change it, the staff immediately became irritated instead of simply correcting the mistake. What made the situation worse was being called “annoying” for pointing out that the order had never been confirmed in the first place. Basic customer service is confirming an order before finalizing it, especially when customers are still looking at the menu. The store was completely empty on Memorial Day, so there was no reason for the rude attitude or rushed behavior. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, unprofessional, and unnecessary. Management seriously needs to work on customer service and professionalism at this location.
