  Outstanding experience! Literal 5+ stars all around! Killer cocktails (cucumber martini was off the hook) & wine selection (including mocktails for our 2nd year college student kids). The crab cakes were INCREDIBLE and the baked Brie dish was fantastic. Even the fresh bread/cracker basket was spectacular. The service was fabulous and the ambience was about as good as it gets next to a giant window, where the trains occasionally go by (and the entire restaurant erupts into applause)! Everyone at our table of six was thrilled with their individual entrées (no one had the same thing - from steaks and seafood to pasta) and everything was cooked to perfection! Excellent desserts, including Keylime pie that was lovely. We literally can’t wait to go again! A definite five star experience - GO!

  We hosted our wedding reception at the Gandy Dancer, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. The Staff: The entire service team was incredibly attentive, professional, and warm. They made sure our guests were completely taken care of and that everything ran seamlessly throughout the evening. Laura, Event Coordinator: Laura was an absolute dream to work with! Her attention to detail, organization, and calm presence made the planning process completely stress-free. She ensured every detail was executed flawlessly so we could just relax and enjoy our special day. Atmosphere & Scenery: The historic setting provided a stunning, romantic backdrop for our celebration. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the beautiful scenery and unique charm of the venue. The Food: Absolutely outstanding! Every dish was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. From the appetizers to the main courses, the meal exceeded all of our expectations—people are still raving about how delicious everything was. If you are looking for a breathtaking venue with top-tier food and an extraordinary team, host your wedding reception here. We couldn't have asked for a better celebration!

  The atmopshere gets a 10/10 as it was absolutley gorgeous with a moody ambieance. However, the food was just ok which was disappointing. I had the seafood trio, my boyfriend had the blackened mahi and my MIL had the chicken tortillini. All the fish items (Mahi, Salmon, Coconut Shrimp, & Crab Cakes) were lacking in flavor/seasoning, I believe if there was more the meal would of been a 10/10 as well. The tortilini was cooked perfectly and had plenty of flavor. I am not sure if we just had a one off experience but overall the expereince was just ok due to the food.

  We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was not a great experience.. First it was a Monday and they were not busy - We were placed in the front by the door and right next to the servers station. It was not busy at all there was only 1 other table and quite a few empty tables. Second- The server made us all feel like we were being rushed. We were going over the drink menu and he took the order for 2 of us but as I am looking at the menus he turns and walks away and I had to stop him to order my drink … As we are enjoying our before dinner drinks he seem to be bothered because we didn’t order our appetizers or dinner right away.. Everyone felt rushed during dinner. Not a good way to end my husband’s Birthday celebration. The food was good however portions were not that big for the price. 3 sprigs of asparagus and a teaspoon of rice but my Snapper was good size. 2 people ordered lobster tails - they were good size however they were not pulled from the tail when served. They had to fight with the tail to separate it .. Usually the tail Is removed prior to being served and placed back in the tail for presentation. Over all I would not return and It’s a shame because this was my first time there and I had such big expectations..

  We ordered the Chilean sea bass, steak, and halibut, along with crab cakes and salads as appetizers. The Chilean sea bass was delicious, although the portion was quite small. The halibut, on the other hand, was disappointing and not something we would order again. The portions were generally smaller than expected. The steak came with two asparagus spears and a tennis-ball-sized serving of mashed potatoes. The sea bass came with three asparagus spears and rice, while the halibut came solely with rice. If you have a hearty appetite, I would recommend ordering a larger steak than you normally would or adding some extra sides. I was also disappointed with the presentation. The food wasn't badly plated, but it was fairly uninspired and didn't do much to enhance the meal. That said, the coffee and carrot cake were excellent—definitely five stars for both. Fortunately, we were able to sit in the back room, which is lovely and bright thanks to a large wall of windows. It was a much more pleasant setting than I had expected. The main dining area is quite dark. Our waiter was nice enough, but the service felt somewhat impersonal. He seemed to come and go without much interaction, which made the evening feel a little less special than we had hoped. It was also my husband's birthday. When I made the reservation, I was asked if we were celebrating anything special. I mentioned his birthday and was told they would "make a special menu for him." I didn't mention the birthday again during the meal, anticipating the restaurant would follow through, but nothing special happened. It was a small thing, but still disappointing, especially since they had specifically mentioned it when I made the reservation. This was a restaurant my elderly mother had been wanting to visit for many years, so I really wanted the experience to be memorable for her. Unfortunately, the evening fell a little short of expectations. To be fair, it wasn't bad at all—there were some definite highlights—but overall, it was simply underwhelming. I just wish the food, service, and special occasion had come together to make the experience feel more special. The pictures are of our meals before anything was eaten or moved.
