  This grocery store has really gone downhill. The produce department doesnt care about stock rotation. The further back you dig the older the food is. Moldy food is standard. Cauliflower is ALWAYS moldy. Meat department sells meat (especially chicken) with dates a week away or more, 2 days later it is rotten. There are some great helpful employees, but whoever is running the show apparently doesnt care. Also they now have carts with braking wheels to prevent theft. The wheels lock for no reason constantly. Overall the shopping experience and the product quality have been going down for the past 10 years. If this was happening in Kennebunk or Berwick I am sure someone would care.

  Unfortunately, my experience at Hannaford was disappointing. I did not feel that I received the same level of courtesy or customer service that I observed being given to other customers. If straight or a male, you will be treated differently, which can make the entire visit a little weird and unwelcoming. Regardless of someone's race, gender, or background, every customer should be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism. I normally expect much better from Hannaford, and I hope management takes customer-service concerns like this seriously and works to ensure everyone who walks through the doors feels equally welcome. Especially if you ask for any assistance.

  I think that the employees need to be trained better as far as respecting shoppers some of them have no manners
