  We really enjoyed our meal this evening. I am visiting from VT and found this to be a new fav. Great salad (fennel), friendly staff made us feel welcome during a busy time, so delicious; and even divided the cannoli and served on two plates. It was just great!

  Was the food and vibe just incredible? Absolutely. But Amanda is what made our visit memorable. We are first timers in Maine and knew we wanted some comfort food after a long travel day. Amanda took her time to get to know us, recommend us the best, and share plenty of laughs and smiles with our table without rushing us off. The food was spectacular, but Amanda’s service is what shined.

  Surprising find next to the train station. Outstanding food that rivaled the North end in Boston. We had chicken parm (perfectly cooked with very flavorful sauce) and seafood gratinati (unique dish and amazingly tasty). This place is a hidden gem. Shout outs to our servers Josh (owner?) and Jason, who made our meal special. Great place! We will be back.

  An Unforgettable Birthday at Pomelia I recently celebrated my birthday at Pomelia, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like honored guests rather than just another table. They went way above and beyond to make the night special. The food was outstanding—authentic Italian cooking that tasted like it came straight from a family kitchen in Tuscany. It started with chef sending out a complimentary focaccia including ricotta and olive tapenade then hot honey ricotta, followed by the most delicious pasta vodka I’ve ever had. Every bite was executed flawlessly, with bright, high-quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. But what truly made the evening was the experience, which was every bit as amazing as the food. The team surprised us with a personalized birthday touch: they brought out a beautiful cannoli with a candle and a handwritten birthday card. Our server anticipated every need and arranged a lovely table when he learned it was a celebration. The ambiance—soft lighting, cozy Italian charm, and welcoming atmosphere—made everything feel magical. Pomelia didn’t just serve great food; they created a memory. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion (or just want an elevated night out), this is the spot. They truly care about their guests, and it shows in every detail.
