I was very disappointed with this experience! I have been vegetarian for over a decade, so I was very excited to try this place. The atmosphere is amazing when you walk in, the decor and the aesthetic are incredible. I love the rustic but sexy vibes. However, everything went downhill from there. The service was terrible to be blunt. We got a bottle of wine and wanted our apps to come out first and our entrees afterwards, as it usually works, and was informed we had to order it all at once and they would send it out accordingly. Okay, that’s fine! But then, everything came out all at once. 2 apps and 2 entrees. This was annoying since the food is just all sitting there as we’re trying to enjoy the apps. The food was lacking as well, I did enjoy the tofu skewers, but the mushrooms were soggy and un flavorful. My entree was cold and just looked thrown together. After the server took our order that first time, she literally never came back. Not to check on our food, not to offer desserts, never again. The host came up and actually was sort of taking stuff off our table after that, and we had to physically stand up and find someone to pay our bill. It felt like the upscale dining for this place was a “show” with the atmosphere and the prices, when the food wasn’t very good and the service was lacking immensely.
FYI this place is closing down for good in a couple of weeks. It was our first time and I guess our last.
I wish we knew that before we went. I guess they’re just phoning it in now.
Had a 7:45 reservation got there on time and were seated. Waited 20 minutes for server to show. I wanted to leave Finally server showed up, We ordered drinks a salad and bread. Then she told us the place was shutting down in a few weeks.
Bottom line it took 45 minutes just to get our drinks. We hadn’t even ordered our entrees nor received the salad/bread.
We left. I wanted to leave after 15 minutes waiting for server, but my wife held out hope. Cost me $20 to leave because she wouldn’t leave unless we paid for drinks. Didn’t even drink ‘em.
She’s too
Terrible experience ruined our night as the 2 places we went to after we left the kitchens had closed.
Also there was a table of 4, who were there before us, and they were in the same boat. We left, they might still be there or has they say on Sponge Bob…20 hours later
Just a heads up and my 2 cents oh wait my 20 bucks.

My wife and I had a delicious dinner here. The atmosphere was warm and rustic. Our server Jessi was extremely accommodating and understanding when I told her I had dietary restrictions. She was also super friendly and attentive. My wife is vegan and had a hard time deciding what to get because they had so many great choices. They also have a large selection of mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. We will definitely be back! Next time we will sit upstairs. The whole place is lovely, but we looked upstairs and it was especially pretty there.
The best Mac and cheese I have ever had in my whole life omg 🤤.. or tip add chicken. I am sad to see this place close their doors. 🚪 but am also so happy for them and whatever awaits them in this next chapter. bandaloop used to be in Kennebunkport and was there forever. Grateful for the aesthetic, food and atmosphere all these years. Make sure to stop by before their next adventure starts.
This was our favorite meal during our trip to Maine. Atmosphere is lovely and staff were kind and friendly. THE BREAD with the Vermont cheddar was to die for. The miso-ginger salmon was incredible and my husband loved the scallops. Only downside was that they had one waiter serving all of the tables on the first floor. It took over an hour after we got there to get our entrees. However, the food, staff, and atmosphere were well worth it! Highly recommend for a date night.
