The customer service individual said that I need to return to store at another time, because the manager is not there! The experience was so poor that I had to call the 1800 safeway place in front of the customer service.

I received a message at 8.50 am that my order is delayed. I was already at the store waiting. At 9 I entered the Safeway yo cancel my order as I had an appt at 9;30. I asked to have my order cancelled. The manager finally walked up to me and I explained my situation that I couldn’t wait. The manager (SARAH) said she was going to cancel my order as I tried to grab a few items off the shelf. When I got back to the customer service desk, the manager was nowhere to be found. Another employee tried to page her on the intercom but SARAH did not respond. I waited another 4-5 minutes without any relief of my issue. Sarah just disappeared and never cancelled my order. What kind of manager does Safeway hire?? She should not mange anything. Their employee MARVIN needs to quit or retire as he is rude and always in a bad mood. I am still out of $150 dollars as I still don’t have a refund or groceries.

I think that some stuff could’ve been easier to find, but I am a tourist and maybe just not used to the layout of grocery stores in Silver Spring. The app was very helpful in finding stuff we needed, and the rewards program is good and I like how it also supports other stores owned by Albertson’s. Overall good grocery store, found everything we needed
