  We did the vegetarian platter and the meat platter. Cost about $80 with tip. One of the meats, which I could not name was by far the best of them all. The atmosphere was great. You can do local or Ethiopian for $3-4 more, which is gluten free. The place smells like incense. They put 18% gratuity automatically even though table of 4, which is fine but fyi.

  Food was okay in taste though not authentic, quantity was good. Too pricey. High price keeps customers away. Just for a meal I paid $46 including tip.

  The quality of service and the flavor of the food are commendable; however, it is not appropriate to include an 18% gratuity on the bill without obtaining the customer's consent.

  One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I drove 25 minutes after calling ahead to make sure my food would be ready. She assured me it would be, but when I arrived they hadn't even started my order. When I asked about it, she just laughed. She completely wasted my time and money. Very disappointing.

  I have always considered Elsi Restaurant one of my favorite restaurants, and I’ve recommended it to many of my friends because of the great food and service I’ve enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a very disappointing experience. I ordered the Geba Wot Tibs, which has always been my favorite dish, but this time it tasted completely different and was of very poor quality. The Derk Tibs was also undercooked, the meat did not seem fresh, and the overall taste was unpleasant. To make matters worse, I became sick after eating there and have not been feeling well for the past few days. I’m sharing this feedback because I’ve genuinely valued your restaurant over the years. I hope you will look into this issue and take the necessary steps to ensure the quality of your food returns to the high standard that made Elsi Restaurant one of my favorite places.
