  TLDR: Yall need to get good at berries This is my first grocer review. I dont usually have the time or energy to rate places. Congratulations to Giant in SP, MD for being so bad that it compelled me, one of the laziest people on earth, to speak up on the internet about it. Trust me when I say, Jabba the Hut gets in more cardio than I do...thats how lazy I am....and thus how awful an experience Ive had with this Giant and specifically: its fruit/produce. This has been on going for years and like a self-conflicted stripper I keep going back. Im here on a weekly basis, and today...was the last straw. Im buying fruit every visit and I cannot recall a single time in recent history (past three yrs) where I got home with blackberries or raspberries that didnt have a surprise fungus bomb in the container. Im paying upwards of 5.99 a plastic tin for these things and buying 4-5 tins a visit. EVERY single time I have to throw out half the berries due to fungus all over them. Even when I shake the container or look inside and everything seems clear ...I get home and BAM! buried in the middle is gross fungus crap or they are riddled internally with it and was too hard to see until you pull the berry apart. I dont know who your supplier is but they suck. Stawberries and raspberries also are half rotten most of the time as well. Unfortunately I will be driving the extra 15 min to get to HT because the few times I went there, the fruit was flawless. I have thrown out hundreds of dollars in same day purchased berries from this giant just in the past year. Additionally there is other fruit and produce I dont even consider buying here because its already half rotten on the shelves on display. Yall need to stop over buying and get fresh stuff out. Half your stuff is gross. At a minimum hire someone to go around and remove the fungus stuff from display. I see rotten stuff on the shelf in there at least three times a week.

  Love our local Severna Park Giant Food. The staff is always helpful. I was able to get distilled water, which is often hard to find.

  I truly believe this is the very best grocery store that ever was. 10/10 recommend this place. This town is rooted in businesses that have been around since before the dawn of time and this is one of them. As a small child I can remember coming here with my mom. I’d push the cart and she’d yell at me every time I ran over her heels. The look on her face…oh my god. If looks could kill. But I digress. Now as a grown up myself with my own family, I’ve been buying my own groceries there for the last 30 years. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. Doesn’t matter what department of the store you’re in, the employees are top notch. My only gripe with the store is when they periodically renovate and rearrange things. I hate not being able to find my stuff quickly when I’m in a hurry. The shelves are always fluffed out and almost always fully stocked. There are employees working almost all day restocking items. When I can find something, there’s always a helpful soul to come to my rescue. Even around the busiest of holidays they always have plenty of carts, as well as an assortment of both larger and smaller carts to meet your needs. The deli has some of the best employees. They always ask how you would like your deli order sliced and often offer a sample to you. Iris has been running the store for a good many years. She is amazing. I see her out and about all over the store, jumping in wherever someone needs her. They have a seasonal aisle where I always find interesting things, and you can recycle plastic bags here too. If you’re in the mood for coffee, there’s a Starbucks right inside the store. They have cashiers and self check out as well as the scanners if you want to do all of it yourself before you get to the register. And T here’s always plenty of parking as it shares parking with a number of other stores. I could go on and on. So many great things about this location. And most of all, it’s become like family.

  They have rotten meat the mangers don't know to talk to people or their employees an when I told manger he said he don't care but it back on the self someone will buy it
