  I was drawn by the 4.7 rating, the "Chinese genocide" story of the muslim Uyghurs, and the mystery as to why Sichuan, Cantonese, Hunan, etc. food are called Chinese food but Uyghur food is not even though it's in Xinjiang. I liked the decor when I opened the door and was hoping I would love this "new" food. The server was polite and made suggestions but was not attentive - I had to get up to find him to request my check. The restaurant was very nice, calming. The food was good. Good. Not very good, not great. The hand-pulled wheat noodles were good and stood up as leftovers. The beef was too salty and the bok choy didn't have much taste. I would visit again but no rush, and I wouldn't order the same thing. I was drawn by the 4.7 rating. I didn't experience 4.7. Still, it's interesting to eat the food, plot it on a map, and learn the unfortunate history.

  We had a wonderful group dinner at Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Rockville. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor, and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, I highly recommend it!

  I had an amazing experience at this Uyghur restaurant. The food was absolutely authentic and full of flavor—every dish tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The hand-pulled noodles were a standout, and the kebabs were juicy and cooked just right. You can really tell they put care into their cooking. The atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable, and the staff were very kind and attentive. If you’ve never tried Uyghur food before, this is the perfect place to start. I’ll definitely be coming back!

  We ordered beef mangolian with rice, hand pulled noodles (korma chop), beef noddles soup and honey cake. Everything was super delicious especially the korma chips and cake. Our server was Aizhan and she was so kind and quick. She recommended us these items based on our likings. The food came quickly and the ambiance is 10 on 10. Will come back again.

  Solid place, with some hits and some misses and average service. We started with the Samsa Samsa (Oven-baked buns with minced beef, lamb and onions seasoned with black pepper, red pepper and sprinkled with sesame oil) - they were fine, nothing bad just unremarkable. Then we had the Korma Chop (Uyghur-styled signature fried noodles with chives, onions, red bell peppers, and beef or chicken or shrimp) - we had it with chicken and by far, it was the best dish, very flavorful and spicy We also had the whole lamb tandoor kabob, and it was very disappointing. Dry, lacking flavor, and terrible meat quality. For something featured so prominently, it was really underwhelming. Worth a try but not a place I am dying to return to.
