    This was by far one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve had at a McDonald’s, and it needs to be addressed by management or corporate. On March 31 around 5:30 PM, I attempted to use a promotional code while ordering. The employee at the speaker told me the tablet wasn’t working and instructed me to proceed to the payment window so they could apply it there. When I got to the window and explained the situation, the employee immediately responded with attitude. He slammed the credit card machine down, handled the situation carelessly, and said, “you need to say something at the speaker, baby,” in a condescending and disrespectful tone—even though I had already done exactly that and was following the instructions given to me. He then barely attempted to scan the code, did it incorrectly, and still charged me $17.98 without fixing the issue or offering any help. This is especially frustrating because this is NOT the first time I’ve experienced poor service at this location. There have been multiple occasions where staff have had an attitude, messed up orders, or even tossed sauces and handed out food with visible frustration and disrespect. It shows a consistent lack of professionalism and care for customers. As someone who has worked in customer service, I understand that systems can fail—but there is absolutely no excuse for treating a customer this way. The attitude, lack of professionalism, and dismissive behavior were completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I tried to look at his name tag, he intentionally moved it so I couldn’t see it, which raises serious concerns about accountability. This is not just about a code not working—it’s about how customers are treated. Employees represent the brand, and this kind of behavior reflects very poorly on the entire establishment. I am requesting that management and corporate review this incident, take appropriate action, and ensure better training and accountability moving forward. I expect a follow-up regarding how this situation is being addressed.
