The food was delicious, but the service was appalling. The women working there were incredibly rude. My fiancé, a friend, and I were ordering lunch after a long hike. As we were ordering, the woman taking our order walked away and grabbed another employee to take our order. Both staff members were incredibly rude, but we brushed it off, paid, and sat down. We were deep in conversation when suddenly, three of the employees (two women behind the counter and one on the outside) started screaming at us and slamming the counter to get our attention. There were other people in the restaurant having conversations, and the sound level was quite high, so we must have missed them calling out our order number. It couldn’t have been more than a minute, though, because my fiancé had just sat down after filling our drinks. Their behavior was completely unprofessional. They were yelling at us and trying to get our attention like we were dogs. In a normal restaurant setting, you would expect them to call out our order number a few times and leave the food there for us to check and grab after we finish our conversation. Or, maybe the woman on our side of the counter would come over and say, “Hey, your food’s ready,” like normal people do. But they didn’t. Having three people screaming and slamming their hands on the countertop five feet away was frightening and embarrassing. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from staff towards customers. Listen, I’m not a Karen, but this experience shook us up so badly that I wish I could go back and get a recording of the camera footage from their security cameras and send it to corporate. I work in HR for a large company, and I can tell you firsthand that this kind of behavior will lose you business. No one wants to be in an environment where they are treated like trash and disrespected, especially when they are spending $60 with the business for three meals. .

I always get carry out by it's consistently the best. The fries are always hot, the burgers cooked perfectly to company standards and yeah, the staff are friendly and polite.

I am a long-time customer at the Potomac location and I usually order a Large fries. Over the past several visits, the portion size has been noticeably smaller compared to what I consistently received in the past. I asked in-store whether the Large fries portion had changed and was told there was no change, however the actual serving size no longer matches my previous experience at this location. I wanted to share this feedback because Five Guys has always been known for generous fries, and this reduction is very noticeable to regular customers. I hope the portion standards at this location can be reviewed.

Tasty but not really a difference from burger King or Wendy's. There is a difference though in the price 🤣 Just saying

Twice in a row now, we have placed orders for pickup online. Twice, the Potomac Five Guys did not have the order ready when indicated. When the staff was asked about the order, it appeared that the persons at the counter could not understand the issue. Each time, after about 15 minutes, the manager claimed there were problems with the machine creating tickets for the order. Ordering online is not worth the effort. It’s better to just go and order at the location, it will take less time.
