I love the Safeway Pharmacy. They are so much cheaper than the big name drug stores. They're friendly and they know me. I used to think the groceries were low priced but not anymore.

Greetings Team, I am seeking clarification on Safeway’s loitering policy at the Oxon Hill location specifically at the Pokemon vending machine.
Why does Safeway allow individuals to loiter around the Pokémon vending machine for extended periods of time, intimidating customers, threatening people, and creating an uncomfortable environment for families and children?
On multiple occasions, including this evening, groups have gathered around the machine, some smelling strongly of marijuana, threatening, making paying customers feel unwelcome, and discouraging families from using the machine. This included today when there were at least 6 individuals standing around the machine blocking others which can be reviewed on the security camera in that alcove.
When I raised my concerns with security, I was told there was nothing they could do and management told them to leave people alone. Is that truly the official position of Safeway at this vending machine that clearly states no loitering? If so, I find that extremely concerning.
Customers should be able to shop and use store amenities without feeling intimidated or unsafe. The current situation around the Pokémon vending machine appears to be driving away paying customers and creating a negative experience for families and children who simply want to enjoy the hobby.
I would appreciate clarification regarding Safeway’s loitering policy and what steps, if any, the store plans to take to ensure the area around the vending machine remains safe, welcoming, and accessible for all customers. Please provide your response here for all to see - I will not use the automated contact us feature as this clearly is a matter of public safety.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter and your timely response.

i try to avoid writing bad reviews but pretty awful attitudes found throughout this location’s employees. rude older woman at self-checkout always being nasty and judgmental every time I go, employees blocking the aisle and only moving once your a foot away from them, honestly a very hostile place with extremely high prices not found elsewhere. Highly inconsiderate , unwelcoming, incompetent staff. Aldi down the road is better and my go-to, this is just open earlier to get certain pet food. 0/10 would not recommend.
