I recently had a very disappointing experience at one of your Chipotle locations regarding a pickup order, and I feel it needs to be addressed by corporate management.
I placed an order for pickup and arrived at the restaurant to retrieve it. When I walked in, I stood patiently near the pickup area while the manager was preparing orders. Despite clearly seeing me waiting, she never acknowledged me, greeted me, or asked if I needed assistance. Another customer then walked up and had to loudly say “excuse me” multiple times before she finally turned around to assist him, which already gave the impression that customers were being intentionally ignored.
Once she looked in my direction, I politely gave my name for my pickup order. She briefly looked around for it, then turned back around and continued working without communicating anything to me at all. No explanation, no update, and no indication of whether my order was being prepared or delayed. I continued waiting patiently, but after being ignored for an extended period of time, I finally asked the cashier about my order, and he informed me it was still being made.
At that point, the manager overheard the conversation and began speaking under her breath, stating that my order was not ready — information that had never been communicated to me directly when I initially asked her. She then continued making comments in Spanish and stated that she would not be making my order until a certain time.
Due to the lack of professionalism, communication, and overall disrespectful behavior, I requested that my order simply be canceled and refunded. Instead of assisting me professionally, she told me to “go through DoorDash” for the refund. When I explained that I was unfamiliar with the process, she responded by telling me to “figure it out.”
I then asked to speak with a manager, and she stated that she was the manager. I politely requested her name, but neither she nor the other staff members would provide it. I also asked if there was another manager or someone higher I could speak with, and again no one was willing to help.
This entire interaction was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I understand restaurants get busy, but basic customer service, communication, and respect should still be expected. Being ignored, spoken about under someone’s breath, refused assistance, and denied management information is not an acceptable experience for any customer.
Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location.
