- LJLove J5 days ago1.0Serious Food Safety & Customer Service Concerns I am extremely concerned about my recent experience at Safeway in Mount Airy. The chicken I purchased appeared to be undercooked, which is a serious concern when it comes to prepared poultry and food safety. This experience made me question the food-preparation and sanitation practices in the prepared-food area. I believe management should take a closer look at how food is being prepared, handled, stored, and served, including whether proper cooking temperatures and sanitation procedures are consistently being followed. If these concerns are not addressed internally, I believe the appropriate health department should be made aware so the location can be properly evaluated. Unfortunately, the customer service was also disappointing. The woman working at the self-checkout area was rude and unhelpful, and her attitude made an already frustrating experience worse. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of how busy the store may be. I am posting this because food safety and customer service both matter. I hope Safeway management takes these concerns seriously, reviews the prepared-food department and self-checkout area, and makes sure employees are following proper food-safety procedures while providing customers with respectful and professional service. This location needs improvement, and I hope management addresses these issues before they become a more serious problem.

Probably not a good job for her, no one in that place is moving fast or doing much from my experience. I’m not going back after my interaction with her.

He just checked me out and never said a word to me. What a rude person. I'll find another store with more friendly people
