Had Maple Salmon salad. Was a nice size and tasted good. Server was very good. Large party and she was very organized and pleasant. Wish there were more options on menu but pleased with the service we received

My brother and I took our 90 year old mother out for her Mother’s Day dinner (May 10th 2026). It was the worst experience we have ever had (and we are very easy to please). Our waitress took forever to get our drink orders (3 sodas) and the bread and butter took a half hour to arrive.. stale!
Our dinners arrived late, cold and missing key ingredients… how can you mess up a bacon cheeseburger?!?! The Brussel sprouts were totally dry, cold and covered in goat cheese which I specifically asked to be switched out for feta in its place. I do not like goat cheese! The waitress was basically absent and when she did show up, she did not have what we asked for. Again, we are not hard to please and by no means demanding. We just wanted a nice Mother’s Day experience for my mom. Sadly, that was not the case!
On the positive side, the manager was extremely understanding and apologetic, she could not have been more gracious and ultimately comped our meal. She said they were having a horrible day and many customers were disappointed with their meals and service. We appreciated her honesty and were very pleased with how she handled the situation.
Our past experiences at the Front Porch have been very positive so I’m hoping this was just a very off day.
So the fam got this last night, delivered to us. Got the spicy chicken sandwich, turkey BLT, grilled cheese, and a burger. Honestly everything was pretty bland expect the fries. They were good. All else was fetid. Seriously doubt we will have this again. Fried green tomatoes were also gross.
Came in with a few of my colleagues for a work dinner last night & the waitress was RUDE as hell. I ordered the salmon with crab on top. After taking a bite of my food, I told her I was sending it back as I didn’t like it (no seasoning at all) she looks at me & says, well what didn’t you like, then looked at the ceiling like she was annoyed with me. Then asked do you want something else? My colleague gave hers back also (same problem) we then got a steak meal. Same thing but I kept it & asked for dessert. The whole time she spoke to us with an attitude as if we disgusted her., we’re in this important meeting and when my colleague asked for another dessert as we were told we could order another one. She proceeded to say, it’s only one per person. But she served everyone else extra desserts. The head man paying for everything told her it was alright. So she then starts asking do you want the bread pudding with a nasty attitude? My colleague said no thanks. Next thing you know she went & got a bread pudding anyway & basically shoved it in my colleagues chest anyway. I’ve been to the front porch a few times & never had a problem. It was always a great experience & I thought we was a great group. Other than that we had a great meeting, the sweet chili shrimp was great though. (I always get it)

I recently booked a private event here, and Jordan Walker the head Host made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The coordination leading up to the event was clear, organized, and stress-free—they made it easy to plan without feeling overwhelmed.
What really stood out, though, was our private server, Melissa. She worked incredibly hard throughout the entire event, staying attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail without ever being intrusive. Everything flowed seamlessly because of their effort.
It made hosting so much easier on my end, and I was actually able to relax and enjoy the time with my guests. I’d absolutely book another event here.
My regards and many thanks, Angie Boylen
