If I could give zero stars, I would.
I have been coming to this Dunkin location since it opened and have never experienced any issues until today.
I ordered a croissant, hash browns, and drinks. The hash browns were completely black, and the croissant was burnt. I understand that croissants are normally baked until they're slightly crispy, but this one was clearly overcooked and unacceptable.
I went back inside with the food, and one young employee was kind enough to begin correcting my order. However, another employee came from the back, looked at the croissant, and rudely told me it wasn't burnt before walking away. I explained that it obviously was, which is why I had returned, but instead of addressing my concern, she wanted to argue.
Then another male employee came over and stated that the croissant wasn't burnt, although he admitted the hash browns were. At that point, I wasn't interested in debating with teenagers about food that was clearly inedible. I asked to speak with a manager, only to be told there wasn't one on site.
One employee had to call the manager for instructions on how to process a refund. I was told I needed to bring the drinks back before the refund could be completed, so I did. Then they asked for the physical card I used to pay, even though I had paid using tap.
By this point, my man came inside to ask what was going on. As I was explaining the situation, the same employee who had been argumentative continued talking over me and even referred to me as "little girl." Considering she appeared to be around my daughter's age, the comment was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. She then asked if I had returned all of the food, even though everything was clearly sitting on the counter where she put it.
To make matters worse, the manager on the phone instructed the employees that they could not provide any corporate contact information or even their names. That response, combined with the employees' behavior, speaks volumes about the leadership at this location.
This experience wasn't simply about burnt food—it was about the complete lack of customer service, professionalism, and accountability. Mistakes happen, but the way customers are treated afterward is what matters. I have video of this interaction and intend to share my experience through the appropriate channels. When I mentioned the video talking to my daughter, the young boy made a comment of "I don't know what the video is going to do."
I have always enjoyed Dunkin and hope this location receives the management and training it clearly needs. No customer should be spoken to with disrespect or expected to argue over food that should never have been served in the first place. I'll take my business elsewhere and will be sharing my concerns with others in the area.
