Edit regarding the response I received:
Thank you for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to reply back. However, I want to clarify that I am familiar with fufu and have enjoyed many different cultural cuisines over the years, including African dishes. My review was not based on unfamiliarity with the food or unrealistic expectations.
When I referred to it as “water,” I was being sarcastic to emphasize my disappointment—not to suggest that I literally believed I was served water. The fufu I received had an unusually loose consistency, almost resembling water, and it was also nearly tasteless.
I respect traditional African cuisine and understand that recipes and preparation methods can vary. My comments were directed at the quality of the specific meal I was served, not at African food or culture. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standard I expected, and I shared my honest review based on that experience.
