  I was in Giant (Largo) and I witnessed the manager John (white) accuse 3 black boys for stealing. He told security to make the boys open their book bags to check for items and she found absolutely nothing. He stereotyped those boys and didn’t even offer them an apology. If he can’t handle managing a predominantly black area he should be transferred if not fired. In 2026 this is unacceptable. Not all young black boys are criminals!! I was completely disgusted!!

  I made a pick-up order. When I arrived, I was told my order was not there. They must have gave it away because there is not a code or ID required like Target and instead of taking accountability, they refused to refund me. I feel like it’s a scam by the store that they have their family/friends “mistakenly” pick up the wrong order.

  I am appalled by the dismissive behavior of the store manager, Jerome Davis, during a recent visit. I accompanied my daughter who was politely inquiring about a job opportunity—something we should be encouraging and supporting in our youth. Instead of showing basic leadership or customer service, Mr. Davis was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before she could even ask a simple question, he turned his back on us (in front of an employee) , claiming he was "running the whole store" and didn't have 30 seconds to spare. To make matters worse, he made a completely ignorant and condescending comment, asking: "If this was a government job, would you go inside a government building and inquire about a job?" The arrogance and lack of professionalism is mind-boggling. As a community, we are supposed to be helping young people learn, grow, and seek out employment. The 60 seconds he took to go back and forth could have been used for positive reinforcement. Instead he displayed poor management and customer service skills which are the basic fundamentals of Leadership. Having a manager who treats aspiring young workers like an inconvenience is a terrible look for Giant Food.
