  I honestly feel really bad for the employees working here. It is extremely hot inside the building, and even though they have the doors opened and a small fan running, that is simply not enough with this kind of heat. You can clearly tell the workers are uncomfortable and still trying their best to do their jobs under rough conditions. No employee should have to work in an environment like that for hours at a time. Please, whoever is in charge, have some empathy and improve the working conditions for them. Proper air conditioning, stronger ventilation, or additional cooling needs to be provided. The employees themselves were kind, respectful, and hardworking — this review is directed more toward management needing to take better care of the people working there every day.

  Would rate 5/5 stars because this is my favorite spot in my neighborhood but lately you walk into the store it feels like a sauna. Horrible for your staff especially and no guest would like to sit inside at the moment .

  Wayyyyy too hot in store its killing the customers and we are only here for a min but i feel bad for the employees very pleasant and efficent but i couldnt work in that hot store i would die

  First time visiting this new Tropical Smoothie Cafe location and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. I placed an online order for a Bahama Mama with whey protein and non-fat yogurt. I can usually tell by the color and taste when my smoothie is made correctly. When I walked in, there was nobody at the register and I waited before eventually being handed my drink. There was no sticker on the cup, so I asked to confirm my add-ins were included. The employee initially said yes, then told me they were actually out of whey protein. I explained that I paid extra for whey protein and specifically do not want pea protein. I also mentioned that customers should be informed about substitutions before receiving their order. The employee responded that it’s “supposed to tell you online,” but other locations usually communicate substitutions in person at pickup. I was not offered anything, so I just asked for chips as compensation for the extra charge. After getting back to my car and tasting the smoothie, it clearly tasted like pea protein had still been added anyway. I had to walk back inside and have the drink remade. On top of that, after reading other reviews, it seems I’m not the only customer who experienced poor customer service, employees staying in the back, and a lack of greeting or communication when walking in. Overall, the biggest issue here was the lack of communication, attentiveness, and order accuracy. Definitely double check your order before leaving.
