  The store is always dirty the floors are horrible and smells like an old refrigerator! Most of the staff are ok but others are just grumpy and tired looking like they rolled out of bed. They 100% do not believe in cashiers they push hard for self checkout you lucky if you have 1 open cashier..I avoid this store if possible

  Ordered delivery from here last couple weeks. Was given expired meat and bagels. The meat was grey when I got it, had to throw away. The bagels were over a year expired and I didn’t notice until eating the second bagel. Accidentally burnt the first bagel a little too much, so couldn’t tell it was stale. Safeway app is good abt giving refunds for messed up orders. Lots of bad reviews concerning management at this particular store. Went in person this week and it seems like they are trying to do better.

  I wasn't going to write a review but being that I had an issue with the Norbeck locations as well for racial profiling I figure I post here as well because it happened at this location as well. I came here a few months ago and I got like 2 things. I had no bag, purse nothing in my hands just literally my 2 items. Even my keys were in my pocket. As I was leaving i had reached the sliding doors to walk out and I saw Hawaiian bread but it was a limited edition one (I forget which flavor) but I walked back looked ok a mental note and walked out. As I'm walking in the parking lot this tall Amazon black lady comes out with a shirt wanna be black white lady and the white lady is screaming in the middle of the parking lot "we caught u on camera that's a wrap for u" so I look back and the black Amazon is laughing and the white lady is pointing at me. So I walked back in to see what was going on and the white lady went and hid in the managers office and the Amazon lady was in the front looking at me. So I asked her what she said and she tried to play coy and say "I didn't say anything" so I said well I have the receipt if u want to look at it. By this time the black man manager walks out and asks what's going on. I explained and he tried to calm the situation down but I was on 10 because it was a embarrassing situation to yell that when I paid for my shit. On top of that I had my COUNTY JOB uniform on with my company logo on it. How stupid would I be to walk in like that? Anywho the white lady who stereotyped me came out and said straight up it looked like i was stealing so I told her I have the receipt if u want to look at it. She said she didn't want to look and tried to walk away I told them to refund me my shit. I do t remember her even apologizing but I sure did embarrass her back like she did me. Why is Safeway stereotyping black people? This is the second location that I have encountered with this racial profiling problem. I understand ppl do steal but not all black people steal. I am going to go to Giant and other grocery stores for now because I feel unsafe in these Safeway stores now. I will say the black cashiers always do a good job. They are always helpful and patient never had a issue with any of them

  Pretty good grocery store that has everything you would need. Prices are on par with HT and Giant.

  I always used come to my local Safeway and I love the staff there. I’ve been away for a while and just came back in town. Today I had the opportunity to speak to customer service, after waiting for 10 minutes. No one was behind the counter until lovely Marlene came (I think that was her name). We simply asked for balloons to take to the airport, and she dismissed us saying no. No balloons. Then we said I mean we see the balloons there, can we get someone to assist? To which she said “helium not working. sorry.” Then she took the next customer and dismissed us again. This very kind cashier then explained to me that the helium is working perfectly fine, but it’s just that the flower department left at 4:30, but we’re more than welcome to take the balloons that are already filled. As I stood in line, the irritating customer service lady Marlene came back, scolded the cashier and said to take the person behind me saying “there’s a customer waiting! Take him.” My bad, I had no idea that your cashiers are not allowed to give me service Marlene. Fix your “customer service.”
