There are already limited smoothie options for kids, so I ordered a larger smoothie through the app with the intention of splitting it between my two children. When I arrived, I asked for a small cup so I could divide the smoothie. I was told I would have to pay for the extra cup. I asked what they normally do if someone wants one of the regular smoothie flavors but needs it in a kids size. I was told that if you order in person, they’ll split the smoothie into two smaller cups. When I asked why they couldn’t do the same thing with my order, I was told it was because I ordered through the app. I even said they could keep the larger cup and just put the smoothie into the two smaller cups instead, but they still refused and said this was the owner’s policy. That makes absolutely no sense. It’s the same smoothie and the same cups they’re apparently willing to use if I had walked in and placed the exact same order at the counter. I wasn’t asking for extra smoothie. I had already paid for the product and simply wanted to split it between my two kids. It’s such a small thing to lose a regular customer over, but the policy and lack of basic customer service made the decision easy. There’s literally a Smoothie King in the same shopping center with better reviews, so I’ll be taking my business there instead.

She was also so fast when doing the transaction that I don’t even know if I put in a tip. i did not want to tip because I always select “No Tip” at places. But I am so sure that she was creating a hostile vibe that I got so blindsided. Very bad experience and am angry that I feel I got overcharged and it is deceptive. If this happens again, I will not care if I seem too slow just because the cashier wants to trick customers
