I honestly would have wrote this on the in app survey, but I didn’t get it on my receipt this time. While ordering my food they had the person standing outside to take orders which I never understood because it doesn’t actually make the line move faster. I came earlier today and my fries were luke warm/ weren’t fresh, so I went back through the line to ask for fresh fries. Then my child wanted it, so I returned and when I went to pay I was told to tap twice; however he says it did not work… then when I get to the counter the payment said processing two times in my end and took the money off of my Apple Cash card. When I told the cashier at the window what happened she showed concern and called her manager and I heard him say “oh was it Apple Pay, don’t always trust that.” When it clearly showed on my phone then he told me oh it’ll just come back on our system at this location does not take Apple Cash cards. I’ve been here several times and paid this way just to be told today that it doesn’t work anymore?? Then to be told that I have to wait till the next day or later that night for it to fall off when the money was taken. Do better.

If you want a large meal, you need to remind them at least 4 times. Since this has been an issue for 2 years and that the receipt will say "small", I'm guessing it's an equipment issue. If you want ketchup, you need to adamantly ask for it. Sorry folks, but a lot of us grew up receiving at least one packet of ketchup per meal. Even when it was not asked, that was a bare minimum requirement. Dropped down from a two star to a one star after a horrible experience using the drive thru recently. After the car in front of me drove forward after giving their order, the trainee walked past my car to the car behind me. I had my window completely rolled down and was looking directly at him as he was walking by. At first I figured maybe something is going on, no worries he'll come back to apologize and take my order. Nope! He continued taking other people's orders even when I turned on my hazard lights, nothing. I'm sorry, but if someone has their hazard lights on, it is your responsibility to check if anything is wrong with that vehicle. After taking orders from 5 vehicles and noticing that his line wasn't moving at all did he realize what 'might' be an issue. He came up, asked if he took my order, I firmly told him no, and he less than half-hearted apologized. I've heard better apologies from 12 year olds that were dealing with preteen angst. And to make matters worse, you guessed it ... no ketchup and even when we asked for a large, nope ... gave us a small.

Poor customer service. I visited this Chick-fil-A on Friday, September 4, around 9:30 p.m. I understood they were busy and had no problem waiting. The young woman at the counter, white with dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and black glasses, had just taken another customer’s order and was checking on another customer. She even gave him what appeared to be a complimentary meal card. She made eye contact with me but never greeted me, acknowledged me, or took my order. She simply walked away and left me standing there in line. Another employee eventually noticed me waiting, came over, and apologized. By then, I was so put off by the interaction that I decided not to order and left. I wasn’t upset about waiting. A simple acknowledgment and basic courtesy would have made all the difference.

It takes a lot for me to leave a review. I honestly can’t remember the last time I wrote one—good or bad—but today’s experience was unacceptable. I was excited to see that the Chicken & Waffles sandwich was back, so after school pickup I went to the Waugh Chapel location since it’s closest to my home. I typically prefer another Chick-fil-A location because, in my experience, the staff there are friendlier, but they’ve been dealing with construction. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles sandwich, a regular chicken sandwich, and a nugget meal. Before leaving, I checked the bag, saw the boxes were there, and drove home. When I got home and opened the box, there was an American chicken sandwich inside instead of the Chicken & Waffles sandwich. Mistakes happen. That wasn’t the issue. I drove all the way back to the restaurant, went inside with my receipt, and politely explained what happened. While an employee was checking the drive-thru screens to locate my order, the young lady who had handed me my bag said, “She’s lying. The Chicken & Waffles sandwich was in the bag.” That is where this became completely unacceptable. Please do not call a customer a liar—especially over a chicken sandwich. I had absolutely no reason to drive home, turn around, waste my gas and time, and come back to a restaurant to lie about a sandwich I had already paid for. What made the situation worse was that a manager or GM appeared to be present and heard the interaction. I understand listening to your employee’s side of the story, but there is a professional way to handle a discrepancy. Simply asking, “Do you still have the sandwich with you?” would have resolved the issue without accusing a paying customer of dishonesty. When they asked for the box, I went back to my car and brought it inside. Before even opening it, the employee looked at the packaging and told me, “This is the Chicken & Waffles sandwich.” I responded, “If you open the box, you will see that this IS NOT.” He opened it. And suddenly, everyone was quiet. The sandwich inside was exactly what I said it was. At that point, I wasn’t even concerned about the food anymore. I specifically said that I was owed an apology because I had just been called a liar in front of multiple employees—and not one person apologized. Meanwhile, the employee who accused me continued to smirk as though the situation was amusing. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first frustrating experience at this location. A few months ago, I ordered coffee at breakfast and asked for six creamers. I was told I could only have three. I pointed out that if I walked inside, the creamers were available for customers to take as needed. I was still told three was the maximum, so I literally had to park, walk inside, and get the other three myself. These may seem like small things individually, but customer service is often revealed in the small things. Chick-fil-A has built a reputation around hospitality and exceptional service. In my experience, this particular location does not reflect that standard. Food orders can be corrected. Mistakes happen. But accusing a customer of lying, being proven wrong, and then refusing to offer even a simple apology is a completely different issue. I live close to this location, but after today, I will gladly drive farther to another Chick-fil-A.
