I placed an order through the Domino's app for my entire family, and the app indicated that my order would be ready for pickup at 6:00 PM. I arrived on time and was told the store was running behind and short-staffed. While I understand that staffing challenges happen, I ended up waiting for over an hour with very little communication about when my order would actually be ready. I explained to the staff that I had a concert to attend and needed to leave by 6:30 PM. After waiting more than an hour, I had no choice but to leave or risk missing the event. The staff then offered two options: cancel the order or have it delivered. Since two family members, including my 88-year-old father, were staying home and still needed dinner, I chose delivery. What was most frustrating was being told that I would have to pay an additional $8 delivery charge, even though the delay was entirely on Domino's side. After already waiting over an hour past the promised pickup time, charging extra to correct the situation felt unreasonable and unfair. I also hesitated to cancel because I had used a gift card when placing the order online and was concerned about potential issues receiving credit back or using the gift card in the future. This was a no-win situation for me as a customer. I understand that businesses can have staffing shortages, but communication, accountability, and customer service matter. Domino's needs to do a much better job of taking care of customers when they fail to meet their own promised service times.

I was told that I could leave my number and they would call me when the rest was ready. I was going to an event 30 min away, so driving 1 hour to pick up 3 pizzas is absurd. No refund offered even thought I literally left the store with only half the order, nor anything else to make it right. Can’t even be bothered to offer a soda out of goodwill which would cost them like $1? Asked for a manager, but was told they were busy. I left my number, and later the manager called and had the gall to offer store credit. You literally took my money and gave me undelivered product, and you have the nerve to give me credit instead of a refund? Insane and should be ashamed. Not blaming the employees, but something’s wrong with how the owner or manager is running things
