Food was good, but not amazing. Chicken Korma was all white meat, so kind of dry. Why so little rice? It's so cheap to make, and they give about half of what's needed. Strange choice. Just 50% more rice gets another star. They give you a bottled water which is wasteful. No lunch menu, so my choice, on the cheaper end of the options, was $23 total. People were nice and food good, but only 3-star worthy. It provides an Indian option in the area, which I appreciate.

The food was good, no doubt about that. However, the 18% service charge was disappointing. This isn’t a fine dining restaurant. it’s a simple place with minimal decor, just a couple of wall pictures and a few tables and chairs.
They also served bottled water without mentioning there would be an extra charge. It would have been appreciated if they had informed us beforehand. Transparency about additional charges is important, and this experience left us disappointed despite the good food.

Wow! We stumbled upon this gem, and we were blown away with the meal. We love Indian food, and this is some of the best we've had. Flavorful, hot, large portions, beautifully presented. The staff was friendly; the chef-owner chatted with us and expressed gratitude for our visit. And the restaurant is very pretty inside. We don't live close by, but we'll divert off I-95 to eat at It's Masala Time as we pass thru in the future.
The food was very disappointing. Almost every dish tasted like it was overloaded with chili powder, making it hard to enjoy. We raised our concerns with the staff, but no effort was made to correct the issue, so we ended up leaving most of the food untouched.
To make matters worse, an automatic 18% gratuity was added to the bill for a family of just two adults and one child.
I would avoid spending your hard-earned money at this restaurant. Good food and good customer service should go hand in hand, and unfortunately, this place delivered neither.
Here is a realistic, disappointed review for a restaurant:
**⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid if you’re looking for flavor or hot food**
I was really excited to try this place out since we don't have many options around here, but it was a massive disappointment. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and biryani for takeout.
First off, the food was barely lukewarm by the time I picked it up, even though I arrived right at the estimated time. The tikka masala was incredibly bland—it tasted more like campbell's tomato soup with a splash of cream than actual spiced curry, and the chicken itself was dry and rubbery. The garlic naan was completely burnt on the bottom and tough to chew, and the biryani lacked any depth of flavor and felt rushed.
For the prices they are charging, you expect authentic flavor and fresh preparation. Definitely won't be coming back.
Here is an updated review reflecting those specific complaints:
**⭐☆☆☆☆ Ridiculously overpriced for what you get**
I gave this place a try, but it is a total rip-off. The food prices are incredibly high for the small portion sizes they give you, but what really blew me away was the bill. They hit you with automatic service charges and extra fees that make absolutely no sense for the level of service you actually get.
To make it worse, the food itself isn’t even good enough to justify the base prices, let alone the extra charges. The curry was bland and watered down, the meats were dry, and everything arrived barely warm.
Paying premium prices and getting hit with hidden fees for mediocre food and slow service is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere else where they don't overcharge you for sub-par quality.
