If you're looking for rich, bold flavours and an authentic dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit! From the moment the food arrives, you can tell that every dish is crafted with care and passion.
The Coconut Seafood Curry is a standout — creamy, aromatic, and packed with perfectly cooked seafood that keeps you coming back for more. The Pani Puri is a delightful burst of flavour in every bite, just the way it should be. And if you're a fan of hearty, slow-cooked goodness, the Goat Curry will not disappoint — tender, deeply spiced, and absolutely satisfying. Don't leave without trying the Paneer Butter Masala either — velvety, rich, and wonderfully indulgent.
Whether you're a long-time fan of this cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant delivers on every front. The flavours are genuine, the portions are generous, and the experience is memorable.
Highly recommended — this one's a gem
The paneer biryani tasted stale, as if it had been refrigerated and reheated. The paneer had an unusual heaviness and a rubbery texture. In my experience, paneer is typically softer and crumbles when bitten, but this had a more elastic consistency, so I could only eat a few bites. The raita also tasted stale. About 2-3 hours after eating, I developed severe stomach pain.
When I called the restaurant and asked about the sourcing of the paneer, the call ended abruptly in mid-conversation. I am not sure of the exact sourcing.
The bhel puri also had a noticeable fish-like odor, which was unexpected for a vegetarian dish.
The dining area floor felt sticky, which affected my impression of cleanliness.
Overall, based on this experience and the price point, I would not personally choose to return or recommend it.

5/5 experience! The wings were fresh and flavorful, the chaat was absolutely delicious with the perfect balance of spices, and the chai was rich and refreshing. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made. Great food, great quality, and definitely a place I’d come back to again. Highly recommend!
The food at It’s Masala Time is amazing. I eat there at least 2-3 times a week. The staff is always so very pleasant and the atmosphere is just quiet enough to r ad a book or enjoy the company of a coworker while on break! My favorite dish is the Butter Chicken, mild spicy with extra rice! I highly recommend anyone to visit!

So many different curries, so little time! My husband and I both got vindaloo (him: chicken, me: paneer) and told them medium and it was adventurously spicy, we were very happy! We also got the garlic naan, which was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to come back and try the saag paneer, hubby wants to try the mango curry. This new gem in Elkton (free parking, Newarkers!) will now be in our regular dining out rotation.
