AZTK Cocina is a small spot that seems to do mostly takeout, but they do have tables and chairs for dining in, which I appreciated.
I ordered the street tacos with a side of black beans. The tacos were a little smaller than what I’ve gotten at some other places, but they made up for it in flavor. Everything tasted fresh, and the tacos were very flavorful and well put together. The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa was especially good—very fresh tasting and full of flavor. The black beans were also excellent and came in a surprisingly generous portion.
The staff was friendly, particularly the woman at the front who took my order. The price was very reasonable too. My entire meal was around $15 including tip, which I thought was a good value.
There are only a few small things keeping me from giving it a perfect 5. One of the cucumber slices that came with my tacos looked like it may have gotten a little frozen or freezer burned. I’d also love to see a fountain drink or fresh iced tea option rather than just bottled drinks.
Finally, the dining area could use a little atmosphere. There was no music or TV, so it was almost completely quiet other than the sounds of cooking in the back. Some music or even a TV showing soccer would make eating in feel a little more inviting.
Those are all minor criticisms, though. The food was fresh and flavorful, the portions and prices were good, and the service was friendly. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I’d come back to.
