  I really liked this place. The young man who served us was very friendly and attentive the whole time. The food was also delicious and arrived quickly. I would definitely come back.

  I placed an order for 5 Fried Whiting with fries and coleslaw. Got home and the fish was over cooked and rubbery. Took the whole meal back for a redo or refund. They cooked the order over and I specifically asked that they not over fry the whiting. Well, the 2nd order of 5 Fried Whiting fish again over cooked, rubbery and hard. Needless to say that will be my last time ordering from Southern Style Chicken & Waffle in District Heights MD. They do not answer there phone either, goes straight to voice mail is full.

  Yeah. This is a gem. That lemon pepper catfish is unbelievable. Omg. I just finished my meal and I’m seriously considering leaving my house to go back out and get more.

  Waffles are yummy and the chicken is crispy and well seasoned. Definitely my go to for late night eats.
