  Vaneesa helped host our Fantasy Football Draft. We had the Smokehouse Buffet and it was amazing. Food was hot and plentiful (sausages, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken thighs, mac n cheese, beans, corn bread, coleslaw, and potato salad. She kept the pitchers of drink topped up the entire time and was a great hostess. Keep in mind this price includes a reserved seating area (2 hours), private bowling lanes, and game passes. Definitely a great experience, would come back!

  I’m continuing my story from another account because apparently there’s a word limit here Anyway… I told her multiple times that I am not paying for 750 ml because I did not get 750 ml. I told her at least six times that she gave me less than a glass and definitely nowhere close to a whole bottle and I can pay for the glass but she kept making me to pay $22. She started showing me the tablet and saying that she entered the wine and the system doesn’t let her choose anything else so I have to pay $22 for it. If your system doesn’t let you change it that doesn’t mean I have to pay for something I did not receive. So I asked for a manager because at that point I wanted to actually speak to someone about what happened. She went to get the manager but the manager never came to us. We never got to actually talk to the manager and explain what happened. She just came back and told us that the manager gave us $10 off. That’s it No apology no explanation no one came to talk to us nothing And we had ordered a lot of stuff. We had around 10 drinks between us plus food so it wasn’t like we came there and ordered one drink and complained about it. When we were paying my friend was using the tablet and she left $0 tip because of the way we were treated During the payment the waitress looked at the tablet and saw the $0 tip and literally rolled her eyes like seriously I honestly cannot explain how uncomfortable this whole thing was. Why are two waitresses standing in front of me arguing with me and laughing at me and interrupting me when I am literally just trying to explain that I didn’t receive what I ordered This was supposed to be a rare night out with my friends because we don’t go out like this very often and the whole experience was ruined I understand that mistakes happen. Food can be late, drinks can be dropped, things happen. But the way you treat customers when something goes wrong is what matters and the way we were treated was horrible We were waiting forever for our food, waiting forever for our drinks, my wine was not what I ordered, I was interrupted when I tried to explain it, one employee was laughing at me and saying “surprise surprise” and the other one kept aggressively repeating that she could take my wine away even after I said I was fine. And then they still wanted to charge me for a full bottle that I did not receive We left with a really really bad feeling about this place We didn’t even ask for a gift card or anything like that. We didn’t originally ask for compensation. We just wanted someone to actually listen and treat us normally Nobody apologized to us I really hope management checks the cameras and actually looks into what happened because this was not just a small mistake with a drink. The customer service and the way we were spoken to was completely unacceptable

  On Tuesday August 11 I came to Main Event with my friends and honestly this was one of the worst customer service experiences I ever had. We paid for bowling for around an hour and a half maybe even more I don’t remember exactly but it was definitely not less than 1.5 hours. Around 20 minutes after we started bowling we ordered food and drinks because we wanted to eat and drink WHILE we were bowling. We waited for our food for like 40 minutes. Literally around 40 minutes. And then our drinks started coming when we had like 5-10 minutes left of our bowling time. So basically we paid for all this bowling time and we were only getting our drinks when our time was basically already finished. And then there was another problem with the drinks. When they first brought our drinks they forgot my friends cocktail and my wine. They told us that apparently the manager slipped and dropped all the cocktails so they had to make them again. Okay whatever accidents happen but we already waited like 40 minutes at this point. Then they finally brought my wine. I ordered a 750 ml bottle of wine which was around $22 and I specifically ordered the whole bottle. They brought me a glass with not even half of the glass filled. It was definitely nowhere near 750 ml probably less than 100 ml. The waitress just put it down and walked away. She didn’t say anything like “sorry we don’t have the bottle anymore” or “would you like another wine instead” nothing. She just left it there and I had to wait for her to come back so I could ask what was going on. The waitress was wearing a pink t shirt, she had long colorful fake nails with some kind of design, reddish/orange short braided extensions in her hair, some of them were curly and some were braids, and she had acne patches on her face. I am describing her because I want management to know exactly who I am talking about. So I asked her why I got this when I ordered 750 ml and she said “that’s all we had” basically saying that this was all that was in the bottle. There was another girl with her, she was wearing all black and had her hair in a ponytail and she was like a head and a half shorter than the first waitress And when I was trying to explain that I ordered 750 ml and this is obviously not 750 ml the second girl literally looked at me and started laughing and said “surprise surprise this is the whole bottle” Like damn what I told her no this is not a whole bottle the menu literally says 750 ml and this is not 750 ml I was trying to say that I wanted another wine because this was not what I ordered and she kept interrupting me and saying “surprise surprise this is the whole bottle this is the whole bottle what can we do this is the whole bottle surprise surprise” and being aggressive. I literally couldn’t even finish what I was saying because she kept talking over me. And then the first waitress started getting aggressive with me too. I told her okay fine I will drink it just leave it and she kept standing there and saying “I can take it back I can take it back I can take it back” like 4 or 5 times even though I already said no it’s fine I will drink it she was so ready to jump on me. The way she was talking to me was extremely rude and aggressive and she was looking at me like I was doing something wrong just because I asked about my order. Then we got the bill and they tried to charge me around $22-$23 for the WHOLE 750 ml bottle.

  Chris at Main Event was absolutely amazing! He provided great service from start to finish and was always timely and attentive to our table. He was so sweet, warm, and welcoming, and genuinely made our experience that much better. It’s always nice to have someone who makes you feel taken care of without having to ask. Thank you, Chris, for the wonderful service! We truly appreciated you and will definitely be back!

  The service at Main Event Columbia was honestly terrible. Most of the employees seemed completely uninterested in helping anyone. Several were on their phones while talking to customers, looking miserable and acting like we were bothering them. One person was handling the register while others were glued to their phones or just standing around. Customer service seriously needs improvement, especially from management. It’s frustrating to spend money somewhere and feel like no one cares about the customer experience. Most of the staff are young, and management seriously needs to do a better job training them on basic customer service and work ethic
