  This is the closest grocery store to where I live, so I go here all the time. Just go to the giant down the road. I've never seen a grocery store where they seemingly cared less about my business. If you dare to be there in the last hour that they're open, they don't have any checkouts open staffed by real people - only self-checkout. They also seemed to do everything they should be doing after hours during business hours. Including buffing the floors, stocking the shelves (to the point where they block aisles and make it hard for you to get to the products). Forget talking on the phone while shopping here - you won't be able to hear the conversation if they decide buffing the floor is more important than your shopping experience. In fact, they will act like you're a nuisance if you dare to get in their way. Many times there will be a long line at the self-checkout, which is the only option at the time, meanwhile they have half a dozen employees stocking shelves or doing other things not related to helping customers. The prices aren't even lower than other stores. I've tolerated all this for a long time, but I feel like if they really don't care about my business I'm just not going to give it to them anymore. You shouldn't either.

  First time using the men's room here. Before 11am on a Tuesday. Probably cleaned before last Tuesday. Absolutely disgusting. Worse than any truck stop I've seen recently. I left and bought nothing. Wouldn't want to buy food items touched by anyone that used that RR. How clean can the rest of the store be?

  Always enjoy going to this food lion, it's clean, the staff is nice, the store is well stocked. I also like that they have a different selection even though they are now part of the same company along with Giant Food. The store is definitely worth a try if you're in the area and haven't been there yet.
