Ordered from this restaurant via grubhub. $22 rice is a very small portion with a bland taste. NOT acceptable at all. If you think grubhub fee is too high, you don't have to participate. Customers paying $22 only got half full are very unhappy.

Great fast food—Indian style in Clarksville Commons. I ate mutton biryani, mango lassi, and a potato-and-onion dosa. (I’m going earmark the dosa as gluten free for a friend. I’ll ask her if this place will work for her.) We ate the dosa onsite with sambar and peanut butter chutney, and the dosa was light and crisp and not a bit greasy. Although the ghee used must have been liberal because the dosa was delicious. (Lots of reviewers seem to like the dosa.) The tray was brought out by Satyam (Namasste proprietor) with pride. I used to live nearby Udupi Palace in Adelphi, and I have been missing really crispy dosa. The mutton biriyani (takeout) had a generous amount of meat that was nicely spiced (cardamon, cinnamon stick, whole black peppercorns, nigella?). The rice was basmati (as expected) and tasty. I would like more raw onions shreds on the rice, and I’ll ask more next time. The biriyani comes with a small container of yoghurt (raita?) for your rice. The mango lassi is thick and delicious with cardamom. It’s absolutely worth it (calorie-wise). It must be made with all yogurt because it’s not runny. It’s real food served pretty quickly with friendly advice from the staff. Seems like a great value overall.

We got here late, past 8.30pm on Sunday because the roads were slippery with ice. While everyone else was closed, they were kind enough to serve us and their samosas were to die for. Thank you for staying late for us
