When I arrived, there was virtually no line, with only one customer ahead of me, yet service was extremely slow. During the ordering process, I felt like I was inconveniencing the employee whenever I politely asked for a little more of an ingredient. The interaction felt cold, rushed, and unwelcoming. The cashier, Xiomara, provided some of the poorest customer service I have experienced in a long time. She arrived at the register visibly upset, complaining in Spanish, and never greeted customers. When I asked if Diet Coke was available, her response was simply, “Just Coke Zero,” delivered in a rude and dismissive tone. There was no smile, no thank you, and no effort to provide even basic hospitality. To make matters worse, I observed her spending time on her personal pink cellphone while customers were waiting. There were also no trays available, and no explanation or assistance was offered. After finishing my meal, I returned to request General Manager Gabriela Mendoza’s business card so I could provide feedback directly. Xiomara handed me the card without making eye contact, without speaking, and without any acknowledgment whatsoever. It was one of the most dismissive customer interactions I have experienced. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but professionalism and respect for customers should never be optional. The food was fine, but the service was far below the standards I would expect from Chipotle. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional coaching and training to improve the guest experience.
