Come here for the first time tonight not many people here at the restaurant some people hanging outside in the outside area that they have satisfied for the folks customer service wasn’t too friendly, but it wasn’t disrespectful or bad either it was I could say right in the middle, but I end up ordering the oxtail which came with cabbage and rice and peas, which I didn’t ask for they had what just look like oxtail stew that’s all I wanted, but I ended up getting the combination of all three which is OK cause it was a decent price. Cannot argue with that, but the food itself was actually not the best tasting I’ve been to Erie Café, which is in Capitol Heights and jerk pit, which is In College Park when it comes to all three in which one I would highly recommend the jerk pit has the best flavor even down to their cabbage, the café will come second with medium to when it comes to flavor and seasoning, but tonight is my first time trying food from a taste of Caribbean and I am here to tell you the cabbage literally taste like it was boiled Inside of unseasoned and unflavored oodles and noodles water and the oxtails itself for being $27 you get so many pieces which is amazing that when I often get oxtails from Jamaican restaurants, they’re usually aren’t many that you get or nicely sized proportion. I’m here to tell you you get plenty of oxtails here for your buck, but when it specifically comes to the taste of the food, there’s so much lack of flavor like it seems like just one packet of salt in a packet of pepper would cost such an amazing. Elevation I haven’t tried anything else yet, but just from the lack of seasoning with these food items I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’ll just take my extra 30 minute drive to College Park

As a Trini, I would not order this again. The bara was too thick. The channa was decent. I never paid $8 for doubles before and it’s definitely not worth it. However, I would go back and try one of the entrées.

This establishment has gone down terribly. Called in an order and it wasn’t ready. Customer service is awful and they have attitudes when asking questions for clarity. Looks like I’ll stick to Jam Doung Style which is further away but worth the commute!

If you see the older lady in the register be prepare to be ignore, mistreated and wait for about 30-40 minutes they don’t care about your online orders nor the DoorDash orders. They won’t make it till u arrive wasting everyone time, honestly order from people that care about others time not this family that clearly doesn’t give a Damm about anybody but them selves charging an absurd amount of money for some of the worse costumer service in Capitol heights, food is mid , drinks are trash and deserts are store bought presented as home made I personally won’t ever go back and i pray the lady I spoke to retires, with that kinda attitude the only thing she need to he doing is sleep GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
