The pizzas are really good: fresh ingredients and the right ratio of sauce to crust. I can't speak to the cones, but my 8-year-old niece is always excited when we go there and always want a snow cone!
- SSsrhconsultingJun 12, 20265.0After living here since 2018, I am mildly embarrassed to admit that we only recently discovered this place. Now, we have a full-blown Flame & Cones (F&C) addiction. As someone who hails from the land of serious pizza scrutiny (Boston) and regularly travels the East Coast between Boston and DC, I've eaten my fair share of excellent pizza. I've sampled neighborhood legends, hidden gems, and more than a few places claiming to have "the best pizza anywhere." F&C lives up to the hype. In fact, it's the best pizza I've had since moving to Maryland. Period. I would happily put it head-to-head against just about any pizzeria on the northern East Coast. And here's the part that may get me in trouble: even the "American-style pizza" I've had in Italy isn't this good. (IYKYK) The real test, however, wasn't me. It was a house full of teenagers. I hired F&C to cater a party for that notoriously impossible demographic: picky eaters, food snobs, self-appointed culinary experts, and merciless critics. The verdict was unanimous. The pizza disappeared at record speed, and now they specifically request F&C whenever there's a gathering. That's about as close to a Michelin star as you're going to get from a bunch of teenagers. Enjoy! P.S. They have cauliflower crust, too. So even your carb-conscious friends can join the pizza party.
