To Dunkin’ Management/Customer Relations,
I am writing to formally complain about an extremely disappointing experience I had at one of your Dunkin’ locations today.
I am a regular Dunkin’ customer and order coffee almost every day. This morning, I placed my usual coffee order directly at the register with a cashier whose name, to the best of my recollection, began with a “T.” This was not a mobile order. I paid for my coffee and went to the pickup area to wait for it.
My coffee never came.
After waiting, I asked a female employee about my order. She asked for my name, which I provided, and I continued waiting. Still, my coffee was never made or provided to me. After approximately another five minutes, I had to get back in line just to ask again about an order I had already paid for.
When I approached her again, she asked me what I had ordered. At this point, I had already explained that I was waiting for my order and had given her my name. Rather than simply helping me determine what happened, her demeanor toward me was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful.
I eventually left without the coffee I had paid for.
Later that day, I returned to the store to request a refund. The cashier who assisted me at that time was pleasant and helpful, and I want to make that distinction clear. However, the refund amount did not match what I had originally paid, so the matter was not resolved. I left without a refund, and as of now, I still have not received a refund for the coffee I paid for and never received.
While the cashier was attempting to assist me, the same female employee from my earlier interaction was nearby. Although she was not assisting me, she inserted herself into the situation and said under her breath, “Yeah, speak with the manager tomorrow.”
I found that comment unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. I had already been inconvenienced that morning, and I returned only because I had paid for a product I never received. There was no reason for her to continue being dismissive toward me while another employee was attempting to help.
I was informed that Anastasia and Darius are the managers at this location, and I am specifically requesting that this incident be brought to their attention. I would like management to review what occurred during both of my visits, including the employee’s conduct and the unresolved refund.
I understand that mistakes happen. If my coffee had simply been missed and the situation had been handled courteously, I would not be writing this complaint. The missing coffee was frustrating, but the way I was treated when I tried to get the problem corrected is what made this experience unacceptable.
Ultimately, I paid for a coffee I never received, was treated disrespectfully when I asked for assistance, returned to the store to try to resolve the situation, and I still have not received my refund.
As someone who purchases coffee from Dunkin’ almost every day, I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I am requesting that the employee’s behavior be addressed and that I receive the full and correct refund for the coffee I never received.
I would appreciate a response from management regarding how this matter will be resolved.

I go to this dunkin pretty often and never have issues. Frequent flyer, nice tipper. However, this morning (Sunday) I went through the drive thru, ordered my coffee and a half dozen donuts, but was cut off and told that they need to go all the way to the front to get them, so tell her what I want at the window. Okay, fine, not a problem. Got to the window. I pay and get change. The girl at the window and I kind of stare at each other and then she said "your donuts are coming" and I told her I didn't order them yet, I was told to tell them once I got to the window what I wanted. And then the woman with the head set, loud enough for me to hear, said "okay? What do you want then!?!?" And they both proceeded to laugh at me...... I wasnt being irratic or angry with them in anyway, just doing what I was told, so..... Cool. Tell her what I want and 2/6 were wrong anyway. Probably not coming back on a Sunday morning again. I don't tip when I get laughed at for no reason btw.
