Silo Falls is a chic, rustic-style venue in Brookeville, MD. The dairy farm turned restaurant, bar and venue has become the beloved meeting grounds for locals, event-goers and travelers from across Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
We were there on 5/9/26 for dinner at 7 pm. When we arrived there was no hostess in sight. When she appeared she said they were so busy that it would be 10 minutes to be seated. It took 30 minutes. When we sat down, the table next to us said we will wait a long time for our meal. The waitress kept apologizing for how busy they were. They had 2 large parties going in, one upstairs and one in another room. It took 10 minutes just to get water. The restaurant has lots going one, large banquet rooms, outdoor entertainment, and indoor bar, and the restaurant. It feels like the restaurant customers are low priority. They needed a manager on duty to help the young staff that was over stressed, and inexperienced. One meal (we had a table of 4) came out a good 10 minutes before the other 3 meals. We also got up to go to the bar to get our second drinks. The atmosphere is lovely and the place has potential - it is too big for its own good, and can't seem to handle all it offers. We will not be back, unless it is just for a drink and to hear music outside.

Our experience here for a combined birthday and Mother’s Day celebration was a total disaster. The restaurant was clearly over capacity and understaffed, and instead of slowing down, they just kept seating people into a chaotic situation they couldn't handle. We were seated 45 minutes late, and then waited almost **two hours** for food. We watched other tables walk out in frustration before their orders even arrived. I was sat in a high-traffic aisle where I was constantly being bumped in the head and hair by staff and other guests. It was impossible to relax or enjoy the "celebration." When the meal finally arrived, it didn't even match the menu descriptions and the quality was terrible.
We tried to be patient and remain "happy customers," but the management’s refusal to acknowledge they were underwater made the night a total loss. To spend a special occasion being bumped into and ignored for hours was incredibly disappointing. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else

Do y'all delete reviews? A lot of one star reviews in the last two weeks, but not further out than that 🤔
Reservation at 6:15 on Mother's Day and were seated about on time. Yeah, that's where the timeliness ended. Waited about 45 minutes for someone to come take any drink order at all (we ended up ordering everything at once), an hour and 15 minutes for drinks, about two hours minutes for food. We never even got a couple of the appetizers and one of the entrees.
Half of the entrees that came out had ingredients that weren't in the dish on the menu. For example, the salmon dish with fried rice and veggies came with mashed potatoes and undercooked, unseasoned broccoli. Yikes.
What is actually even more wild, though, is that there was an automatic tip of 20% for our party of 5 when there's only supposed to be one for parties of six or more. Pretty scummy.
And that's not to fault the wait staff, they were all nice, courteous, and doing their best. But God Almighty, this is maybe the worst managed restaurant on Earth.

This was Mother's Day dinner service. We arrived and 10 minutes later they sat us down. I knew it was going to be busy so we were ready to wait a little if needed. However after getting the menus and served water, we waited an additional 35 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement by any wait staff. At least 3 or 4, including who we later learned was the manager, circled our table without even as much as saying a single word to us. We saw at least two families that got sat after us get their orders taken at nearby tables. What made it worse was having two kids under 4 getting impatient and hungry. We could've waited longer if at least someone came by and at least said something to us to show us that hey we see you just give us a minute to catch up. But again not a single word by anyone after we got our menus. We ended up walking out unfortunately due to getting no service after almost 40 minutes. Side note: this is not the first time this happens to us at this location

It’s very important I wanted everyone to know which waitress I was talking about. When I first wrote my review, I forgot to mention his name. His name is Alex, so I went ahead and did reposted the same review with his name included. Alex is his name , very unprofessional and terrible he shouldn’t be working at a restaurant with that attitude.
This was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment the waitress walked up to the table, the service was terrible. There was no greeting, no introduction, no welcoming attitude at all — she just walked up to the table like she didn’t even want to be there. The entire interaction felt cold and rude.
The food took an extremely long time to come out, and during that whole wait, there was absolutely no communication or check-in. No one stopped by to ask if we needed drinks refilled, if we were okay, or even to apologize for the delay. Once the food finally arrived, the waitress still never came back to check on us.
The whole experience felt unprofessional, unwelcoming, and frustrating. Going out to eat is supposed to be enjoyable, but this restaurant completely missed the mark on customer service. I definitely would not return or recommend this place to anyone.
